Thompson Playa Del Carmen Beach House

From the moment I scoped out the property online to the moment I check out, the hotel did not disappoint. It was clean, modern & seemed to be newly built. Right on the beach & in the middle of Playa del Carmen only 10 minute walk to the Cozumel ferry - can’t beat that and is worth it in itself! I loved my spacious balcony & the soaking tub in the bathroom. They left a cute message on the mirror for when I arrived. The toiletries were excellent, the coffee maker is a Nespresso so you know it’s good & the soaking tub even had a window from which I could see the ocean. The property itself is right on the beach, which is super convenient being that beach real estate is limited there with most hotels dominating the shoreline. I loved spending time on my balcony taking in the gorgeous views! Or the bath I took in the soaking tub overlooking the view! The bed was super comfy, crisp and clean. The hotel restaurant C-Grill was closed for renovations so that meant some construction noise during the day and no restaurant on property, but because of that, they offered a 50% discount on their sister hotel’s rooftop restaurant and rooftop pool for the inconvenience. They also waived the $50 day pass fee at the rooftop pool, which was perfect since I planned on going anyways. Only downsides, all the rest was amazing and I would totally stay here again! A little slice of paradise.
