Convivio

The Convivio residency was one of the most distinctive, unique & exceptional stays we ever had. Stylish decoration and a personal touch in everything. Our hosts, Jen & Gary provide us with everything. They have created a guests guide plus a city map that they give to all their guests and they also offer free mezcal as a welcome drink (Oaxaqueño alcohol drink that you can only find there). Lovely couple, super helpful and deep into the art world. If you have time, ask from Gary to see his amazing limited edition hand made screenprinted gig posters. We were thrilled! The location is extremely convenient (5 min walk from ADO, the main bus station or 30min drive from the airport), easy to find and in a walking distance to all the main and interesting places in the city (Santo Domingo, Alcala pedestrian walk, Zocalo, Col Reforma and all the Mercados). Outside of Convivio, you can get a taxi anytime of the day, its super busy. The guys can also arrange your ride back to the airport. The room was cleaned during our stay & the internet was ridiculously fast. The breakfast was healthy & light and everyday they used to ask what time we want to have our breakfast. BONUS: Convivio is also a coworking space and all guests can use their premises as well (fast wifi, free coffe-tea and an amazing creative space full of interesting people, ideas & connections). All in all, it was a great stay, highly recommended if you want a stylish, upscale, artistic space to stay and hang out in Oaxaca City.
