A few blocks away from the Santo Domingo Cultural Center, where the walking street or Andador Turistico starts, and just a couple of blocks away from the Zocalo, Posada Yagul is a lovely place to stay. The personnel there, Ricardo, Diana, Alberto, everyone, is very attentive and willing to help. Like most of the buildings there, the old "carcass" is kept to keep the beauty of the building, but rooms are clean, beds are OK and there is a private bathroom on each room. When you get there, you have the impression of going back in time, maybe 1800's, early 1900's, but amenities of 21st century are there, like a high speed Wi-Fi, cold/hot water, private bathroom, etc... highly recommended to anyone going for a short or long stay in Oaxaca. Price is good, an you get a friendly attention from the hotel's personel.
