Hostal Zipolite Arteaga

Pretty chill beach and the vibe is amazing. There’s a few spots you can chill.
 Alquimista is the most common one . They serve really good pizza and the main courses are pretty decent. You can there for late lunch or dinner. It’s a good spot to chill in the morning but to go swimming it’s not the best spot . 

There are several other beaches or you can walk all the way down to nude beach hotel

Best beach in the area

My family and I were supposed to stay there for 4 nights but we went away just after one night. The sheets were dirty and full of holes&hair; the bedrooms are too small and the windows couldn't be closed so we didn't sleep all night long because of the smog and the noise and then at 6 AM the room was full of light. The shower didn't work well: there wasn't hot water.  Furthermore he hostel closes from 0:00 to 6:00 am. 
The employers were quite nice and polite, the place wouldn't be bad but the  real problem in our opinion is with the hostal's owners who don't care about it.

A really bad experience 

Don't even bother staying here! We left after one night and moved to another hostel. 
It might be cheap, but you're paying for it!
Room was quite dirty, found bugs on my bed & cockroaches. Sheets didn't look clean & my pillow smelt musty. 
I had to put a towel down on the bed as the springs were poking through. 
There wasn't really a social area.
The staff were friendly though...We asked for a refund for the other nights we booked & after some conversation about this we were granted it. 

Stay somewhere else!! 

Hi travellers!

We spent three nights in this hostel at the end of march. We were three girls and we rented a three beds-private-room. We thought it was pretty sure and safe. And we were happy of the price! But we should have read the comments on this hostel:
- My friend has been robed 300 euros !!! Only the staff had the key and we know exactly when it happen beacause we were talking about money before going out. In the morning the money was missing! 
But the more intolerable is that the staff did'nt do nothing even listening. We asked to talk with the owner, she never came! The staff use to say "La Duena no tiene la culpa de nada". OK !!! They were the more passive it can be as if they use to have such troubles!  
They are kind of lasy, unpleasant and "i don't care people". 
- And the hostel is pretty dirty there is only two bathrooms for the whole hostel. It is really not clean at all! 
If you can put a little bit more in your budget do it because you'll loose a lot more for sure!

Avoid this hostel if you can!

We stayed here for 6 nights in total over Dias de los Muertos. It was the only place we could find that had free rooms the entire festival and we were happy it was so cheap! Wrong. There are reasons why this place is so cheap...
Reason #1: Its loud. You can hear the main road outside with honking cars and trucks. People are pressing the loud door buzzer and banging on the door at all hours of night. And we managed to get stuck in a dorm with a bunch of rowdy people taking drugs and not sleeping, playing music in the dorm and smashing up the entire hostel 4 nights in a row. 
Reason #2: The staff are lazy, rude and won't help you at all. It's not the Hostel workers fault that these people were loud but NEVER, EVER did they tell them to be quiet. Even after I complained to them. These people even smashed an entire sink in the bathroom and the staff did nothing! I asked for advice once and they said "go up the road and ask the tourist office". My friend and I could tell they had a horrible booking system so arranged to help them out with an online solution in exchange for free accommodation. The manager agreed and then after we worked for probably 7 hours in total she went back on what she said and only gave us half of what was agreed on. All the staff are rude and unhelpful in every aspect.
Reason #3: Things are getting stolen from the room. We do not know who is stealing things. While we were here an expensive set of speakers, and expensive jumper, a phone and a laptop were stolen. The dorms are always open and there is NO WHERE to lock up your stuff. No lockers, nothing. The phone and laptop were stolen from a private room on the second floor while they were asleep. If it wasn't someone in the Hostal then how did they know to go into that room? It's all just too suspicious.
My best advise for this place is know what to expect and stay at your own risk. NEVER leave your valuables in the room, even if it's a private.
