Posada Mi Rosita

We spent eight nights here just before and during the festivities for Halloween, All Saints and All Souls days. The neighborhood was wonderful, being only a half block to a very active church which was a center for many holiday festivities, almost every night. We got a true taste of Mexican family culture as we visited a public school festival just a few blocks from the church. We were able to walk to the Zocalo which took about 15 min. if we didn't stop to take too many pictures. The small courtyard, garden, and covered patio areas were very well maintained and beautiful. Beautiful paintings by Rodolfo Morales of local buildings and churches were displayed on the walls outside the rooms. We had access to a common area fully equipped kitchen, but declined to use it because the local food is fabulous and inexpensive. The only possible negative was the size of the bed which was a standard double and we are not small people. There was no air conditioner, but the two fans kept it comfortable. The staff was excellent and very attentive and helpful. The room rate was very affordable for us, and we would stay there again and recommend it to friends.
