I hadnt planned on visiting Morelia and at last minute I had to find a hostel. I found this hostel and how lucky I was.....its great!! Morelia is a really nice city and my 2 night stay turned into 6. The hostel is small but has a great atmosphere and a cool terrace to enjoy the sun. but what made this place is the staff...Michelle, Anabel and Adams. They are so nice and in a few short days became friends. Michelle took a group of us around the city on a tour and also on a day trip to Patzcuro...most staff in hostels do not do this on their free time. They also gave discounts to bars and restaurants around the town.
I recommend you go to Morelia..and you HAVE to stay here!!

The hostel was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. We were the only people in the hostel the first night, and there was one more guest the second night. The only private room is pretty close to the street, but it was surprisingly quiet at night. The breakfast was pretty average in terms of hostel breakfasts - but their café de oro (coffee) was superb. They did say to call ahead to reserve with a better rate - so I'd recommend doing that. The courtyard was a nice place to enjoy the sun and they have a nice rec room as well. I'd definitely recommend staying here. They definitely seem to cater to the younger backpacker crowd who tends to value partying - however since there no guests during our stay that factor didn't really matter. No complaints! They also use a great tour company that honors the rates even if it's just 2 people instead of the minimum listed on the brochure.

The staff is really sweet. They were always willing to give advice and clarify any doubts. The room was spotless. Actually the entire hostel was really clean. the location is great, it's only a few blocks from the Cathedral. It's definitely one of the nicer places I've stayed. 

If you're a coffee drinker, definitely wake up early for the coffee it's delicious.

It's super clean.

Great hostel and staff!!!

The staff was friendly and the rooms clean.  Breakfast was average.  My stay of two nights was marred the second day when toilet paper in the ladies restroom finished and was not replaced.  The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned every day.  As I said, clean and safe but walk with a roll of toilet paper.

Clean and Safe

We only stayed for one night of 4 booked online. On arrival they didn't have any reservation for us, probably should have clued onto this as we had sent them a question both on their website and via email with no reply. We had booked a private double with bathroom and they managed to accommodate us in a 4 bed dorm without a bathroom for the night for the same price, which was a bit unfair but our spanish isn't quite good enough to bargin/argue. The beds were super uncomfortable and didn't have enough blankets, the wifi was useless and the breakfast was only white bread and cornflakes, for the evening we arrived there was no paper in any of the three girls bathroom stalls. Needless to say we were unimpressed and although they managed to offer room the next morning we changed hostel anyway. First impressions last.
