I stayed in casa Papaya jajajaja, all houses have fruit names! My stay was very relaxing since there was no outside noise or music that can bother us. The staff was very helpful and the house was fresh and cool.Lots of gardens and the pool was warm thank god! I really liked the place and definitely return.

Went with a group of friends. Had a blast. They do serve good and cocktails. The music was very diverse. The musicians were talented and in gaged the crowd. The venue was

Went on day pass and had marvelous time. Cool breeze and lots of shade in the right places.  Bar was excellent (Evon makes an exceptional mango rita and Bloody Ceasar .  The food was fresh and all cooked to order.  Pool was refreshing and clean.  (Did notice a bit of slim at last waterspout on high wall, otherwise perfect)  The folks that live/rent there as well as staff were friendly and accommodating.   Great place to unwind and relax for a while. 


Ever time I go there I ask myself."why don't I do this more often." Lovely. The grounds are beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful. Guadalupe's touch is everywhere.
Only wish the spa was still functioning. Oh, did I mention the food? Delicious.

Peaceful oasis, we relaxed the minute we stepped onto the grounds. Lush green landscaping, very large grounds, large pool arranged so that it is always possible to swim in the shade. 
Roomy, well-laid out accommodation. We stayed in Casa Camote and had friends staying in several adjoining units. No noise from one unit to the other. Quality towels and linens. Full kitchens. I usually bring sharp knives and dishtowels when I intend to cook, and found that I didn't need to unpack them. Good air conditioning and fans. 
Restaurant definitely a highlight. Great chef who was able to adapt to different needs in our group including vegetarian and allergies - and these dishes were prepared with the same thought and presentation as the other dishes.  Service in restaurant was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and manager/owner. 
Great massages. I had the salt/mud treatment several times, modified with ease for my special needs, on our own private back patio. 
Would certainly go again and enjoy another 9 days there.

I did not have to many expectations about this place. But they exceeded them. Food, really good. I was amazed about taste, presentation and quantity. I did the Daypass with family and they charge you 400 pesos each but credited in food and beverages. Pool was good I did not like the shape of it because you can not have your own place without disturbing other guest that are relaxing. I said this because I was playing with my kids and the guests are generally baby boomers. There was only 1 server/bartender, he is good, should smile more but the owner should hire one more person to help him. I will return. I recommend this place very much.  

My wife and I stayed  for a week or so  during the shoulder season and had a great relaxing time, and eventhough we had some torrential rain and leakeage happening in our casita  the staff came over in the evening with towels and buckets and we had a laugh about the whole thing, we got offered to upgrade and move the next day !  never felt unsafe, the staff at the office was always curteous and kind   the kitchen and bar is a slower pace and easygoing  never once did we feel un attended to ! Lupercia is funny and kind and a very good biz woman. She is as colorful and alive as the property and gardens  lovely spot , have been back for pool parties and day  passes with out of town friends and  have had a excelent experience all around !

Music festival in Banderas Bay

A wonderful place to stay, go for a day, have lunch, go for a dinner and concert.

Dusty. Extremely dusty. The good things this place offers like the lush garden and the cute pool are sadly overran by the bad. Noisy and dusty.  There is no paradise if you can't sleep and your kitchen utensils are covered in dust. Garden machinery wrecks the peace during daytime.  I is a quite unique place in deed but also a risky choice. Unfortunately, the host wont make it up for you if things turn out below expected in this price range.

Not suited for mid or long term rental

Years ago (2013) we were here twice – once on Christmas day for a lovely day by their fabulous pool.  The second time was for a disastrous new years eve dinner.  We paid (if memory serves) about $200 each ($400 total) for the fancy affair which we expected to be next to the gorgeous pool.  We were promised steak and lobster dinner.  Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and the hotel was forced to move the party indoors to a building on the far side of their property – with no kitchen.  They then brought in home sized BBQ’s and tried to cook the dinner on them.  Without proper lights they burned everyone’s dinner.  As in charcoal briquettes for the steak and lobsters.  Inedible.  Meanwhile the rain caused the roof to collapse and water poured through – which the staff shored up with pipes while we wondered if the remaining roof was going to fall on our heads.  And there was not enough wait staff so you had to wait endlessly for drinks.  We ordered a bottle of wine three times before it finally showed up.  And when we went to pay the bill there were drinks on it from another table as they had been using first names to keep track and “David” is not exactly uncommon.  We wrote them an email with feedback about the evening and how they might improve upon it in the future.  They thanked us and gave us a gift certificate for a free night stay at the hotel and a bottle of champagne.  As it has been many years, we figured we were not likely to ever use the free night stay.  But we would be happy to trade the nights stay (worth about $200) for a couple of day passes at the pool (worth $25) and the free bottle of wine.  In the end, after much back and forth emailing with the hotel they agreed to honor the gift certificate.   In the end we got the free day passes but no bottle of wine (we ended up paying for it).  And while it might sound petty – the lack of “fairness” in all of this irks us a bit.  Unlikely we will ever return.

Didn't make it right - don't recommend attending events here

We decided to accompany friends to a LunaRumba/Duende 7pm performance on Feb 27th and made a reservation at LAV's "Bambuu Restaurant" for dinner before the performance:  we arrived at 4:15pm!  What an absolute disaster...when we were finally seated (~4:45pm), the owner frantically swooped by tables taking dinner orders, ours included, since they were woefully understaffed ... this was ~5:25pm.  After an hour and twenty minute wait, no food had shown up!  Given the imminent start of the show (and open seating), we paid for our drinks and left without having any dinner.  A table of six seated near to us did the same thing ... they had made a number of trips to the kitchen to enquire about the status of their food.  The waiter was apologetic but it wasn't his fault; the kitchen was in chaos.  It's not like anyone ordered complex entrees ... LAV's  menu is VERY basic ... sandwiches, taco's, pizza ... not duck a'lorange!
The management of this place is abysmal at hosting large events ... you'd think after three previous sold-out concerts this year, there would be cognition of the staffing, planning and organizing necessary to satisfy restaurant patrons/concert go'ers alike!
It didn't end with the restaurant debacle:  At the show's conclusion, most people needed transportation to return Bucerias/etc ... imagine the throng of people and taxi's trying to enter & exit the same single driveway ... it was mahem!  Trying to get out of the place was an absolute "cluster ....k".  Again, no thought to planning HOW the exiting logistics needed to happen ... just a focus on the captive peso's!
There's a season end concert scheduled in March ... be forewarned ... 'suggest you plan to eat somewhere else before going to a concert at LAV!!  Better yet, go to a Luna Rumba/Duende show at The Palm Cabaret & Bar (March 15th), they know what they're doing!
