Hotel Xiadani appears to be recently built. The view from the terrace is spectacular; forest, the valley and two volcanos in the distance. The property is spacious, has a conference room and a temazcal (traditional sweat lodge). The hotel offers a wonderful restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, home brewed beer and homemade distilled beverage (we don't drink so didn't try them). The local specialty is rabbit but there were some delicious vegetarian options (we are vegetarians). Every evening someone knocks on our door to see if we want in room service or to dine in the dining room. We appreciated the lovely and personalized service. In every place on the property from the front desk, grounds, spa and restaurant, the staff are warm and professional. We really felt we were in a family run establishment. Highly recommended.
