This was our first stay at Mayan Palace. We had the best time and so did our girls 8yr and 5yr. Our oldest took the pizza  making class with her grandpa and Jose from the JOY SQUAD made it the best! They had a great time. Jose was also our instructor for a yoga class and our family of 4 had the best time! Jose was great with our girls and they loved all the activities!

Jose from the Joy squad was amazing! He was so accommodating for the whole family at yoga. He helped my father in law and daughter make pizza in a class. It was delicious!They’ve been eating it all week. He is always making sure the kids have something fun to do and even give them some candy. The trip would not have been as fun without Jose. We will recommend this place to every one of our friends.

great place, wonderful service! the rooms are very clean, everything works fine. the only thing I saw as a problem is that wi fi sucks. most of the time it is unbelievably slow and for long periods of time it just doesn’t work. but I really came here on vacation, so it helped us be off-line for a while

First time visiting Mayan Palace at Mazatlan and had a great time. Being at the pool made it refreshing for us since it was extremely hot; activities with Darynca had us entertain very much, she a rockstar. Darynca is someone who should be in every resort we go to since she come is fun, outgoing, friendly and charismatic with many game ideas. We appreciate her hard work with Vidanta making a big smile in every client she sees. Jesus the pool waiter was great excellent service, brought all the food for us on time and answered all our food questions. Also, there was one lifeguard named Daniel walking around the pools making sure kids and adults were safe at all times by approaching  us with a great smile making us feel secure.

Had lots of fun relaxing and making friends.  Overall the staff are great. The front desk was very helpful. Every morning they helped us with making reservations for various activities and get change for the bus.  The bell boys were quick with a smile, a greeting, and to help.  The pool side restaurant remembered that I don’t like cilantro and always made sure that my food did not have it, even made a special salsa without it for me.  The Joy Squad are super friendly and lots of fun.  We laughed as we played games and exercised poolside.  

There was construction noise but I am an early riser and they have good music poolside so it did not really bother me.

My only complaint is the sales team is a bit too aggressive.

Our first trip since covid and glad we chose The Mayan Palace in Mazatlan. The new construction taking place did not interfere with any poolside activities at all. We had especially good service from Darynka who organized  the poolside activities

One of my favorite parts was getting to do the activities with Darynka.  She remembered our names every day and made all the activities very enjoyable 10/10 for sure!!  The resort and beach were beautiful and this is all because of the staff!! Thanks for all the fun Darynka!!!

Everything about the Vidanta Mayan Palace and Sea Garden hotels at this resort is great! Beautiful beach! Clean! And superb, very helpful staff! Luci in the spa provided superb massages! Hector and Mario were awesome at front desk and for concierge! Ana Bella was our maid and we loved her! Great location for families and the food was spot on! They even cooked Mahi Mahi for us that we caught fishing and it was beyond delicious!!! We have been to two other Vidanta locations and they are always wonderful resorts! Can’t go wrong here! We are American and this is our second Mexico trip in the past 3 months. There have been no Covid problems. Very safe!

First Time Visitors

The place was average compared to other Vidanta places.  Staff were generally nice. The Joy Entertainment staff Darnyka and Tamara are excellent at their job providing many options of poolside activities.  Food  was good however very lacking when it comes to options.  The store should stay open longer to meet guests needs. 

The sales staff were nice but somewhat pushy and unfortunately don’t deliver what is promised throughout Vidanta properties.

Enjoyed our stay.

I would stay again once construction is completed.

Fun in the sun.

I am here with my family, 5 adults and 2 teenagers. We have been here for ten days and have four days remaining. We have stayed here several times before over the last ten years. The staff here are great; everyone is warm and helpful. 

The construction noise is fairly loud but isn't keeping us from having a good time. When we get tired of it we go out to the beach for awhile. The pool and beach are lovely. My daughters have had a great time doing activities with the Joy Club; Zarynka and Sylvia are so lovely and fun. We have done Zumba, swimming games, painting, bingo, and more with them. We had a nice dinner at the restaurant last night and our waiter Victor kept us laughing with his funny stories. Brenda has kept our room immaculate and is delightful. 

There aren't many people staying at the hotel with the COVID limits. There have been times when we've had the entire pool to ourselves. Issac and Jesus (aka Chewy) have taken great care of us with pool-side drinks and food. The beach bar is also open and fun to visit with the swing seats and beach chairs. All in all it has been a great trip.
