My wife and I stayed here for a month, and the Akan is simply the best. Great staff and rooms with a heated pool, loungers on the wonderful beach, and great architecture. Only a short walk to town or a short taxi ride over the hill to Rincón de Guaybitos. A great favourite with Canadians, this small hotel has beach view balconies in every room and well equipped kitchens. Can’t really say enough. We were so impressed that we have booked a month here next fall, and can’t wait to return.
