Hotel Hacienda Real de Linares

I stayed one night here while conducting an audit in a citrus processing plant near by and had a very good first impression. I checked Gmaps prior to getting there and had no issue parking at 7:00 AM right on the battery spots the hotel provides in front. I liked the lobby's decor. Quaint, showcasing old long wave radios, New York pics and provided with a museum piece Schwab iron safe. While confirming my reservation at the front desk, worried smiles informed me that rooms are not available until noon (but the smiles were there, and that counts in my book). Returning after hours, I was given a clean, spacious room, albeit a little noisy since it faced the main street, at 2nd level. Internet connection was available but not working at my #120 room. TV remote was tricky and the TV had to be turned on/off at the set. Room service did not like my comment about the expense of a USD $20 fish fillet, but it was great (Red Snapper Fillet Veracruzana style. Ask for "Huachinango" pronounced "WoatcheenAAngoa" but be sure to say fillet, or you'll receive a whole fish). At the end, this is a reasonable staying place for a couple of nights at Linares, Nuevo León.
