Casa Cenote Popol Vuh

I have visited about 14 cenotes in Mexico in this area, and this is one of my top 3 ever. Most of the cenotes have unfortunately been inundated with tour groups, etc. so that they are all overcrowded and commercialized. This place was like a little slice of paradise. If you are looking for crowds, loud noise, and tourists, this is not the place for you. We only spent a few hours here, but it was my favorite part of our trip this year. It was quiet with only locals. We were the only tourists, and I LOVED IT that way. There was a video that they played as you came in that you could listen to in English or Spanish that explained all the rules. I laid in a hammock over the water, jumped, dove, and splashed to my heart's content. I ordered some BBQ that was authentically made on an open grill and was to die for! I hate to give this place a good review because I want to keep it to myself ! I and my 3 other companions could not say enough nice things about it. My husband was such a fan of the food and hospitality! The people were so gracious and kind. We did not stay in the hotel, but would like to go back and spend a couple of days.
