This is a place for folks who like comfortable, cosy bungalows on the beach with fans and no airconditioning, altho two of the bungalows now have AC. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained and lovely, with a beautiful, and newly installed pool. A small selection of bungalows requiring booking a long way ahead. An outdoor well appointed kitchen area, altho one double bungalow on the beach does have a kitchen, a lovely library of English books and many cats. Tina, who lives on the property is a cat rescuer, bless her heart. The place is always clean, no cat smell and it's lovely to see them hidden throughout the palms. We stayed across the street at Tina's Casa Kitty, another jewel. We had the two story bungalow in the front, a wood bean building surrounded by screend windows, bedroom upstairs, kitchen down, with two large fans on each floor. What an oasis and the grounds are beautiful. Great, friendly helpful staff.

I'm reluctant to review Casa KI because it's small, fills up, and I may be unable to book one of my favorite places in the world if the word gets spread too widely. I'm doing this because I have such affection for what this family has created in Troncones and I need to be honest. Tina is terrific. The staff is fastidious and a delight to have around and the place is impeccably clean. The beach is as pristine as can be and I encourage all visitors to pick up whatever foreign matter you find that the tide brings in. Many do, which keeps the beach the way you want it. The cats are charming. One dog in particular we could take home but it wouldn't be fair to her. The rooms have everything.The pool is well-designed and located. and I'm usually in it at least 5 times a day. The town is just the right distance away. The aspect of the palapas with chairs and tables are perfect for sunrise, sunset and everything in between. The breakfasts are excellent. The kitchen is comfortable to use. And the pelicans mesmerize with their feeding antics. Thank you, Tina, for another relaxing time. See you again.

This was our 4th visit to Troncones and Casa Ki, and each year we stay a bit longer. When we describe to our friends our idyllic ocean-front Casita, the pool, the palapas, the lovely breakfasts, the always friendly staff, the delightful kitties, and the wonderful guests we meet, they are sure we are exaggerating....but that is not the case. This beautifully maintained B&B is run by gracious hosts, Tina & Emer, who great you daily with smiles. And then there are the kitties - Tina rescues cats, immediately getting them vet/checked, dewormed, vaccinated, neutered/spayed. They are available for adoption, but will always have a home with Tina if no adopters surface. They are all well socialized, well-fed, and love to be petted. We always pack some Greenies dental treats in our luggage, as it is not carried in Mexico - and the cats LOVE them. We are already booked for next year.

We’ve stayed at Casa Ki numerous times over the past 5 years and it’s never been a disappointment!  We’ve had the opportunity to stay in all the bungalows and the Casa as well and have enjoyed them all. My wife enjoys Rojo as it has A/C (Verde does as well now, but we haven’t stayed there since the amazing makeover of the bungalow). The Casa has 2 rooms and 2 baths, as well as a kitchen, well suited for a couples/friends trip. The staff here is wonderful, friendly and try to make your time here more than enjoyable. The grounds are extremely well kept, including the area on the beach which has lounge chairs and numerous small palapas for shade. Imer and Ollie are out at daybreak everyday raking the beach and then spend the rest of the day taking care of the landscaping. The housekeeping staff does a wonderful job keeping things tidy and clean. Lupe is so friendly and always has a smile on her face! The manager Tina always greets us with a smile and a hug. Her superhuman efforts in Troncones caring for abandoned, sick and injured animals is quite commendable. 
We absolutely love it here and look forward to our time in Troncones. No, it’s not a resort in Ixtapa or Cancun, it’s an unassuming place that has beauty, charm and character.

Thank You Tina. Casa Ki is the perfect place to relax and enjoy all that Troncones has to offer. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean and gardens. The pool was very inviting. We loved that you could sit on the beach under a Palapa. The rooms and garden are very well maintained. The big bonus for me was the wonderful rescue cats, that live at Casa Ki.

I always enjoyed Casa Ki when I stayed there. Tina & the staff keep the pool and garden beautiful... books available to read and now they have a pool. Walking distance to everything and yet and peaceful plant filled quiet getaway.

Casa Ki is a place you almost hate to review BECAUSE it is so good!  The property is flawless, tasteful, efficient, clean, mature, and you can be barefoot anywhere except the gravel drive.  Tina makes it look easy, but it cannot be easy.   In March everything is in full bloom, and the container plantings are inspiring.
We benefitted that the long time property owners were staying onsite too, and we were blessed with some of the stories about how the palms were planted, gardens designed, palapas built, and what Troncones was like like decades ago!  We had a tiny snafu before we arrived with booking, which can seem large from thousands of miles away, but Tina assured us we were good to go, gave us the confidence to not worry, and we definitely were taken care of.
We literally changed reservations to stay here the balance of our trip instead of moving mid-trip.  
You definitely must like cats....duh!
A true sanctuary, very centrally located right at the nouveau restaurants on the uphill side of the main road, and the old school beach joints, just south down the beach.  It is long, but you can walk to Majahua from here, and we did several times to check out other very nice properties and restaurants.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of very nice places around this town, and many mid-range, and even tacky, overpriced ones.  Casa Ki has the best value though, of the many we explored and researched. The pool seems very new in 2018 (or just maybe immaculate?), is very clean, and is just perfectly executed.
No restaurant onsite, but that is a plus in our book.  There is a great, different breakfast cooked and served every day.  We ate a big breakfast there every morning the entire week on our own schedule.
Next time we stay here, we will rent bikes for the week, for bar hopping to the further locations in town.
Muy tranquilo.  Not a party place, though nowhere really seemed to be. That's good! 
There were no neighbors on adjacent properties when we were there, but on the Rojo side, it MIGHT have an affect on overall privacy a bit if there were a party or a large group there.  But there wasn't, so........yeah, it was perfect.
The other folks there all seemed to be on there 5th or 15th or 35th year or visit on the property.
Any property manager or designer could learn a few things from Casa Ki. This is how it is done!  More please.

What a bonus - I was so missing my cats, and got to hang out with the sweetest rescue kitties here. It is so peaceful and lovely - everything I needed was here. Quiet yet a convenient location and wonderful amenities. I will definitely stay here again.

I actually hate telling people about Troncones because it will become too popular, but if you've found it, then you might as well stay here! Tina is a wonderful host. She always greats us warmly and checks in with us during our stays to make sure everything is good. The location is great, right on the beach. We've stayed here a few times and have had different bungalows, and we like them all. Just returned from a 3 week stay and loved every minute of it, and we've reserved our dates for next year already. The beach area and the grounds at Casa Ki are well maintained by Imer and Ollie, and they keep the setting in pristine shape. The daily housekeeping by Lupe is amazing, the floors are so clean you could probably eat off of them (not that I would!). Bottomline, it's a great place, extremely relaxing and an incredible staff.
