loved the quaintness and staff!!! They are amazing and I'll be back.  The water got turned off my last day so i decided to leave early.

The service was exceptional. The staff definitely made us feel like at home. The breakfast was authentic and delicious. We will definitely be goingback!

My husband and I had a wonderful three night stay at this lovely old hacienda. Eric and Christina were an absolute delight and very helpful with tips and Eric took us on a great tour of the city. All of the staff were charming and kind and we ended up eating in the kitchen with Eric and Christina two of the nights and thoroughly enjoyed those evenings. Breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable, full of lovely Mexican art and folk art and we felt like we'd had a truly authentic experience. We love B&B's, but if you're looking for a sterile 'American' hotel, this is not for you - this beautiful place is for those who want to experience the true Mexico and it's wonderful culture and people.

Loved the charm of this old hacienda. Loved all the decorations and all the rooms had a different theme. Only thing was that the rooms dont have a key to lock your room when you leave and there is no safety box either like most hotels have. Nothing was lost or stolen just wanted that extra security.

Casa de Espiritus Alegres is a fun place! We loved it! It is different, it is funky, but is confortable and very cosy. The arrival was very friendly with Camila and Erika welcoming us on a warm way. The house is very mexican style, with a nice garden filled with bougainvilleas blooming. Our room was large with plenty of light, we open the windows as the temperature outside was nice, the view to the garden was pretty. We had a good sleep and the breakfast was more o less a la carte, with some mexican dishes to start to. Eggs to your taste, my omelette was very good. Fresh orange juice was great! Breakfast table is a long one, to share with other guests which I think is very agreeable, today we shared it with two friendly ladies from California. We only would like for our next stay to have decaf coffee! And maybe a longer shower courts in. I will go back without any doubt! Thanks for a friendly and nice stay!

Everything was great. Beautiful place and great atmosphere

The hacienda is quaint and comfortable and very homey. Very quiet for sleeping.The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are well appointed with thoughtful touches like handmade soaps, bathrobes ,Kleenex and shower slippers. The coffee is organic .A wonderful place to stay!

This is a magical place with friendly hosts and staff.  Great breakfast - far better than a simple continental breakfast or run of the mill hotel fare.  It is a taxi or Uber ride into town that costs 3-4 dollars per trip.  Great surroundings, uniquely curated rooms, terrific apart, knowledgeable hosts.  A great discovery!

The kindest women run this bed and breakfast. They were so acoomodating. The entire property is beautiful.

The little b&b was wonderful! The staff kept in close contact with us as we were approaching our arrival date....about 40 min from the Leon airport by taxi....the estate was charming....Mexican folk art everywhere and features in every spot! The staff was most accommodating, the beds very comfortable, a real escape from the life in America and a great introduction to our trip to Mexico, ending in San Miguel.Because of its location you go to and from town by taxi, at the cost of about $3.00, The place is both quiet and restful.  The breakfast was complete with multiple choices. all in all a great find!

Very colorful and beautiful gardens very artistic hacienda and furniture. The staff is very friendly and they go out of there way to make you comfortable. They gave great recommendations were to visit and places to eat . The lady that cooks breakfast for Casa de espiritus is a very good cook ,I have to say her breakfast was the most delicious breakfast we had in Guanajuato. They hold events occasionally so if you don’t mind some noise the place is a good place to stay and think how people lived in tha pass

Traditional Hacienda Style

In this 200 year old hacienda, you feel like you are living 200 years ago with modern plumbing. There is Mexican folk art every where. The staff is " muy amable" (nice), and the breakfast "muy authentico".  The hacienda is located in a residential area south of town, but if you don't mind taking a taxi ($3) or a bus (30 cents), it is relatively easy to get into town.

Magical

The staff was very welcoming and fun. the manager is also a guide and gave us lots of fascinating information about the area and what to see and do.  The breakfasts were wonderful with fresh orange juice, fresh fruit and eggs, chilaquiles, nopales and delicious bolillo rolls. The coffee was strong and delicious.The hotel is about 10 minutes from the historic center, but is much quieter than staying in town would be. There is also parking. It was very quiet and tranquil at night. The hotel is part the ex-hacienda La Trinidad. The building is very worn but the hotel is clean and the Mexican folk art is charming.

Folkart and fun

We decided last minute to visit Guanajuato, (must see) and selected La Casa based on previous TripAdvisor reviews. It turns out that the Hotel has a new owner and the reviews were a bit dated.
No problem though as this turned out to be a perfect stop.
The three of us arrived in the afternoon and were shown our room by the helpful staff.
Our two bedroom accommodations were fantastic. We had a covered sitting area outside and a great view of the courtyard. 
The Hotel is a few minutes drive to the "Historic Centro" and we were pleased with the recommendations of the staff for dining and sightseeing.  
This hotel is more Bed and Breakfast than "chain" hotel and couldn't be more charming. 
Vanessa the new manager, was fantastic and cooked us an excellent breakfast in the morning and then gave us the grand tour.
There are 9 unique rooms with various courtyards, patios, verandas, porches and a common area for breakfast and a living area for just relaxing or visiting.
If you use GPS to get there, believe it when it says you have arrived. The entrance is a hidden driveway is a tight right turn (if you're heading up the street) that descends into the property. 
If you arrive after 22:00, when the gates are closed,  just toot your horn and someone will open the gates and get you squared away.

Fantastic Find

Finding this Bed & Breakfast turned my visit in Guanajuato into a magical experience. The rooms were immaculately clean, brightly and uniquely decorated with the colors of the culture and an array of beautiful flowers adorning every view from the windows. Hugo, the owner, Sky and William, managers, Luis, assistant and the kitchen staff who made amazing breakfasts, all made this trip one I will never forget. You will feel like you are with family. I also stayed a few nights in Hugo's other Bed & Breakfast in the center of Guanajuato,Alma del Sol, was equally fabulous. If you are a single female traveler, you will feel very safe and enjoy your new friends at these hotels.

Magical Escape

You can feel true magic floating in the first time you put a step inside this hotel, you can see alebrijes (brightly colored folk art sculptures of fantastical creatures) hiding all around.  All the suites are different and decorated in a fantastic ways, all of them seems to hide a different tale to tell you with a chimney ready to light the wood and embrace you from the cold night of Guanajuato. 

Suddenly Love, mystery and magic collide in a fantastic breakfast in front of the Spanish colonial style garden if you decide to take you in a terrace. But if you decide to share your space and time in the communal table you will discover that all the people saying at the hotel are transformed in a happy family full of stories to share with the rest of the table. 

It is going to be very dificult to find a place with more magic than this little Bed & Breakfast in Guanajuato state (even in Mexico)

Believe me that this is the place you want to stay for a great romantic stay.
