We are a great 2 night stay there and location was great. The manager was very helpful with everything and available for any questions all the time.

This is not a cookie cutter Hilton designed for the masses of Rich American. This is a quaint personal and Charming small motel.If you are arriving after business hours, check in with them ahead of time. What's app is the most reliable way to do this as telephone connections are sometimes not reliable.

Excellent and personalized service. Very attentive young lady on call. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful small hotel, cozi and very clean!

This is the third time we stay here. Not only is the location superb but Fernando and Ana who run the cafe are the kindest and friendliest people. Would def recommend this place to anyone traveling to Guanajuato.

I arrived after the reception desk was closed. The directions I received via What's App on how to access the key to my room were very clear, including a video. At 7:30 pm, when I arrived, there was singing and music from the street outside my window. There was hot water in the morning for tea. No refrigerator in the room, but I could put milk outside on the window ledge at night. There aren't a ton of amenities, but the place has charm. My room had  only one lock, operated by an old-fashioned and quirky key (you wouldn't want to be stuck in the room in case of fire), but I enjoyed my stay and would go back, hoping I got a room with a window.

Lovely, tucked away and private property. Very close to everything in town. The hosts Elizabeth and Fernando were helpful and friendly. Clean, comfortable room.One suggestion would be to add a bath mat in the bathroom as I slipped on water on the floor and had a fall. It is in the centre of town so there is some noise but overall we loved it. Will come back to this wonderful hidden gem.

This is a very charming property, just 5 rooms or so, a very special atmosphere. It's well kept, and the rooms have nice private bathrooms. Fernando, the proprietor, is friendly and interested in arts and literature, and runs a lovely bookshop-cafe in the front room and courtyard. It's a superb location -- in central Guanajuato but on a quiet street.Just a couple of shortcomings. Because the rooms' windows open onto the Zaguan (the covered courtyard-patio-cafe) rather than to the outside, you are likely to keep the curtains pulled closed. Though there are lots of restaurants nearby, there is no coffee available onsite until the cafe opens at around 10:30 a.m. Our room also lacked a chair and reading light.

loved the place. Is a small boutique hotel with only five rooms. Super quiet at night and management is friendly and helpful. location is perfect, close to everything but away from noise. There is no parking but a public parking is close by and Guanajuato is NOT a drivable town by any means. Walking is best and rarely you will need a car.

Love this place. The room was clean and spacious. Our host was awesome. He was very accomodating. He offered transportation arrangements and was up punctual before we had to depart  despite the fact that we had to checkout at 5 AM. Just an FYI, if you need to communicate with him and the phones are not working, email him directly. He is very responsive and within minutes he will reply and address your concerns. The place is located very conveniently not to far from town center, approx. 5 min walking distance. In addition, it is about 2 minutes away from other beautiful small plazas where you can find nice coffee shops, bars and many little restaurants. Over all we had a great time in Gto and we are definitely coming back.

Not your typical hotel but still loved it ...

The owners of this hotel were very nice and it's in a fantastic location in centro GTO - just up the street from Museo de Casa de Diego Rivera, and there are good restaurants in same block.  The only downside was room did not have a window and room was stuffy at night.  They did have a fan and it helped but I would have preferred a room with a window that I could crack to get more/cooler air when I slept.  So if you want a room with a view or if you get hot when you sleep be sure to clarify which room they are giving you before you book.

Great hotel/location&nice staff - room was stuffy

We stayed there during eater week. Not only was the place cozy and quiet despite the city being crowded, but Fernando and Ana are the best hosts one can ask for. The location is by far the best. Everything is a short walk away. This is the perfect place to stay at for single couples looking for a quick getaway. The coffee at the cafe in the lobby was amazing.

Amazing stay!

The hotel is located on a much less crowded street than elsewhere in the Centro just one block up from the Mercado. It is a  family-run hotel of only 4 rooms with the front  part of the hotel being a cafe and art/gift shop and the rooms to the back. The reception area is decorated with paintings/drawings by local artists. Inside has the traditional high ceilings and the decoration is simple and painted in neutral colors. The cafe is well lit with ample seating with a simple menu of hot and cold beverages and pastries.The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. They too are painted in neutral colors with remodeled bathrooms. The decorations are simple and classic. There is plenty of hot water for showers. The bed in my room was a little firm for me but the mattress was in excellent condition and probably very comfortable for most people.  There is a new flat screen TV with plenty of channels to choose from, but all in Spanish.  2 of the rooms face an alley (callejon) that nightly is used by a minstrel group with a large public following. They were usually through the alley not later than 930pm and after that the hotel is very quiet allowing for a good night's sleep. The hotel is a 3-5 minute walk to the Mercado and a 10 minute walk to the Jardin del Union.  Catch a bus to go anywhere you want at the Mercado, including any of the tourist attractions. The bus fare is just 5 pesos. Overall, a wonderful hotel and if Guanajuato again I will surely be staying there.
