Luna Hotel

The view from my room was amazing.   The hotel is in the perfect spot, everything is within walking distance.  The staff was super helpful.  Definitely recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel and staff, we were even upgraded to better room. Free breakfast 8-12. They also helped us with a taxi to go to the airport. Will stay again

Right in the heart of everything.  Easy walking distance to most everything.  Clean and quiet. Only issue not enough outlets to plug in electronics.( But its Mexico) I would stay here again. Absolutely beautiful property.

Great hotel, decorated in a beautiful old world charm.  Nice large, clean rooms with good bathrooms.Potentially loud if the street parties go late, maybe I would avoid on holiday weekends, but no caveats otherwise.Great included breakfast.

Lovely room but be prepared for noise until 11 pm as this hotel is on the jardin, the main square of town. Restaurant attached to hotel was excellent and reasonable given the prime location.  Everyone we dealt with was helpful and cheerful. We had a delicious full breakfast included which was made to order.

A gem in the centre of town.

Clean and quiet. Only issues were not enough outlets, but its Mexico and a older property.  Also the remote for the mini split had no readable buttons they had rubbed off so we couldn't turn on the heat if we had wanted to.  But overall very nice property and great service. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious.

Location is excellent but standard rooms are disappointing.The room I was given on my arrival was on the ground level (I requested a room in a higher level), and I was surprised that there was no window in the room.  Next day, I was moved to a higher-floor room (the one that originally assigned to me but because of a water problem was not available at my arrival).  This room was smaller than the first one and it had a small window that opened to the hall (interior) of the hotel.  The iron did not work well as it heavily leaked water.   I was told that because of the location, the television only works with Netflix, YouTube and other local wi-fi applications.   Breaksfast service and quality was excellent but be sure to leave a tip in cash so that the waiter treats you well the next day.

Great location but avoid a 'standard room'

The stay and staff were great overall, I believe it may have just been the room we were put in that brought my rating sown. I would make sure to review the room information as our room (19) was very strangely located near staff work rooms, it felt a bit intrusive on our part as we could hear them having conversations about work. Because there are no photos of the individual rooms booked, it was a bit of a surprise based on the photos that are shared. The location is amazing, very convenient and walkable. We also enjoyed the breakfast that was included with the stay. The only issue would be the room we got. It was in a weird subfloor behind the front desk, next to the public restrooms. We stayed for two nights and one night the hallway outside the room had flooded and we had to step through it to get into our room. The room is also very cavernous, with no windows or source of natural light.

The 120 yr old property is nice & historical for the area. The problem is that if you take a front facing room, all the bars &  restaurants are right down below and you literally have 4 warring mariachi bands til about 1:30 on weekends and 12:30 week days. If you ask for an interior or rear facing room it is quieter. They are accomodating and switched us on the last night and it was much quieter.

Very friendly staff. They messaged me directly prior to my stay to make my stay there more pleasurable. During the stay, they were helpful in us acquiring transportation that fit our schedule. Hotel is located in the center of all the sites to see. You can hear live music from the balcony of the rooms and enjoy the atmosphere.  Only small complaint is that  one of the rooms didn’t have outlets near by to charge phones.

This hotel lobby is Breathtaking, very conceptual. Looks like an old house from the 1800’s. Loved it. The rooms were not that comfy space related, also the bathroom was very small and the bed was hard. But we only stayed for one night so it did the job. Also this hotel is extremely great located so could definitely book again for short trips. Breakfast was included and is was delicious.

Great location near restaurants, however, the only rooms with windows faced the jardín, which is party central u til almost midnight. So, my room was in the middle of the building with no window and no access to fresh air.That was very uncomfortable to me. The staff was always helpful and offered me a room over the jardín, which I declined due to the competing noise of numerous strolling musician groups until late. There is no mention of the rooms being windowless on their website. I would have booked elsewhere if I had known that, despite the excellent staff service, etc.

No window in the Roo

Its an old Hotel right in the downtown center of Guanajuato where the action is.  You have restaurants and music as you walk out of the hotel. The managment are eager to help and make sure you have the right room and to have a good time.  A word of caution: you are very close to the music, Mariachis and Rock bands play below close to the rooms. Ask for an inside room if noise bothers you.

Pro: in the middle of everything great service house cleaning was excellent, the staff done a great job . Con: Free breakfast nothing to wright home about went around the corner to have a great meal. Need to remember your password for Netflix if you don't no tv. Oh thanks Brent you forgot to log out. Music is loud Thursday stops at 1am take ear plugs. Its a great hotel
