Hostel Bedsntravel

Me and my partner are out and out budget. We came to Beds'n and Travel on the basis that they were cheap and had a kitchen. That's pretty much all it takes for us to want to go to a place. Other reviews on other websites described them as being between $10-$20 U.S. per night, with a small kitchen and having "pokey" little rooms. These reviews may be a little outdated as we discovered upon arriving late in the evening that the hostel had undergone a face lift. Automatic sensor lights in toilets and showers (good pressure and hot), a breakfast bar, superfast internet (for Central America), nicely decorated and staffed by good english speakers. Of course the price had changed too, $30 per night for a doble which was a good $5 cheaper than 2 dorm beds. The room was excellent of course, it had 2 large double beds but it wasn't what we were looking for. The staff seemed surprised that we weren't really happy and didn't want to pay $30 per night (we did end up staying 2 nights), I tried to explain we had expected something less at about half the price because of what we had read online. I wish someone had done what I'm doing now since the revamp. Essentially this is a really nice place. It calls itself a hostel because it has retained the room with bunk beds and has a pretty good kitchen (although hidden away) but it is a hotel in terms of amenities quality of service and price.
