Palpatio Hotel Boutique

This was a very lovely and beautiful hotel to stay in during our time in Guadalajara. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend other others to stay here.

Close to restaurants, quiet, clean, friendly staff

It was unlike a regular hotel, only drawback was there was no elevator.

We loved everything about our stay at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and gave us a tour of the property, and shared a bit of its history. Rooms were clean and well appointed and adjacent restaurant served a good breakfast.

Great hotel, smells fantastic, clean and great food

We had an incredible stay here. The staff were very welcoming, the attached restaurant was great, and the location was perfect. Very close to the historic center and mercado alcalde. We had a choice of metro stops and the area was very walkable. And the hotel was so cute and i loved the history and room naming

This was an excellent place to stay in Guadalajara. The hotel was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very close to the "Centro" of the city. Shopping, museums and restaurants are within walking distance.We would definitely stay here again next time we come to visit Guadalajara.

Great stay

The property was a convent until a few years ago and has been entirely renovated within limits set by the city. For example, there is no elevator because one would not fit the building's historic character. The exterior is modest, but the interior courtyard is beautiful, and there is a roof deck with views of the city. To the management, I'd suggest some tables and chairs up there because it is such a pleasant place to sit.The staff was friendly, helpful, available at all times, and spoke fluent English. There is a very nice restaurant on the grounds (El Particular) that is open 8-5 approximately.My room was spacious with a cool tile floor and A/C, functional but not opulent. It overlooked the street but was very quiet at night. Calle Belen is one-way with limited traffic, and it really empties after dark.The crowds and activity of the central plazas are a 10-minute walk. The immediate neighborhood feels a bit frayed with graffiti and a few deteriorating buildings. The sidewalks are rough. I walked every night until 9PM and never felt unsafe, but normal urban precautions are in order.

My first time staying here because of the ratings and the stay did not disappoint. The room was large, clean, excellent lighting, and comfortable. The overall place was very nostalgic. It is in walking distance of downtown places that are a must see. You do have to pay extra for parking but that includes very safe enclosed parking. The area does seem sketchy but everything is so well lit.

Palpatio was an excellent choice for my last night in Guadalajara.  As a single traveller for work, the hotel had all of the amenities that I needed, and was an easy walk to the historic centre to soak up some history and beautiful architecture.  I love the feeling of the boutique-style property - friendly and intimate, not like the big chain hotels. The staff were very friendly and professional.  I would definitely choose this hotel again in Guadalajara.

The front desk employees went out of their way to help with my stay, as soon as I walked thru the entrance they made me feel at home. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, super clean, perfectly quiet, the matress is firm great night sleep, delicious food. I would love to give them more stars for their rating, 5 is not enough.

Quiet and clean, convenient. One direction walking is fine for walking access to city center, Teatro Degollado, Zócalo, Cathedral and shopping. But the other direction from the hotel is bleak and sketchy. You are three blocks away from great stuff but DON'T leave in the wrong direction. This hotel is on the edge of a shady neighborhood. It is a great place to stay but don't wander without knowing where you are.

What I loved about this hotel was that it’s brand new and every inch of the property has been renovated. The staff was so welcoming and helpful with anything we needed. The rooms seemed very quiet and the decor was unique and different in every room. The view from the rooftop patio was also beautiful as you can see the tops of the surrounding cathedrals. The historic center was only 4 short blocks away and you can Uber anywhere you desire. I traveled with my wife and two kids and felt safe walking the surrounding streets during the day. The only negative thing I found to this hotel was the area was deserted at night and I wouldn’t be comfortable walking to nearby locations, this was also a plus for me as I didn’t have to deal with city noise all night like other places. If I ever come back to Guadalajara I’m staying here as it met all my requirements and is the first time I had a great nights rest in a major Mexican city.
