Walking distance to sidewalk cafes, art galleries, boutiques, everything. Mr. and Mrs. Waffle next door is charming, affordable, and delicious.

Location, friendly staff, rooms big enough, quietly, and great price

This review takes into consideration the very low cost. You get what you pay for. Very clean and staff was very nice. There is secure parking. It can get a bit noisy due to near traffic. Close to downtown where all the nice shops resturants are at.

My stay was so awesome. The room was so clean and the office was so kind. The area is perfect and the property is protected and safe. Right across from the police station.

Close to the port. Older building no frills motel. Very economic clean. With free parking on the edge of the tourist strip

You can't beat the price for location! Rooms were like Motel 6, and for the price they were perfect. Not the Hyatt, but then again you already knew that when you clicked on this place for the price! Safe parking too for motorcycles so that's a plus.

The motel exceed our expectation. Good location, looking new and clean, good pressure running hot water, friendly staff even though they don't speak much English. We booked it last minute with promotion price and it's definitely worth it!

The Motel Coronado is a good place to stay at if you're making last minute plans, although they do get booked by the end of the day, so make sure to plan a little ahead if possible. Overall, not too bad, but one thing to keep in mind is that smoking is allowed in the rooms, so they will have a lingering smoke smell. I was assured of that from the ashtray on the nightstand and the cigarette burns on the bed covers. Aside from that, the bathroom was clean and for what you are paying, you are getting a decent room. One more thing I might add as a tip is that if you park inside, you may be trapped in there because they fill up their parking area with cars. During my stay, they had to knock on a few doors to have them move cars for different guests to leave the premises. Luckily, I only needed one car to move and I was able to get out, but if you're pressed with time, you may want to find parking outside or ask them to see if you can get a space near the exit.

This place is right on the first street w/c is the tourist area & it's in front of the police station. Then there's Mr & Mrs Waffles for breakfast right door. Their waffles are lovely! We stayed on the 1st floor coz the 2nd floor rooms' windows don't lock. I complained about that. The room, bathroom is clean & basic. The bed is not as bad. Bring extra pillows & hangers if you can. Wifi is great! Overall, for the price, location & cleanliness, I would stay except for summer coz it has no a/c.

Basic, clean, safe, location & wifi is great!

This motel is located in easy walking distance of the main shopping/restaurant area.  The room was very clean and comfortable, one light bulb burned out but we changed that out with the closet bulb :)  The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water.  TV may or may not have worked, we didn't try.  The best part was that the parking was fenced and secure, and they let us leave the car in the lot after we checked out (until about 3pm) while we went on a dive tour.  Very pleasant staff.  In the morning, go to Mr and Mrs Waffle next door - a super breakfast joint with clean, modern decor and excellent food.

Great value, nice clean secure

We were fortunate to find a room right before the holiday weekend and we were pleasantly surprised. We were not expecting anything spectacular and while there are no bells and whistles to this hotel: it is clean and comfortable. The staff is very polite and pleasant and HONEST!My brother in law left his wallet in the room at checkout time. We were in Rosarito when they noticed. I called and the representative agreed to go check the room for me and asked that I call in 5 minutes. When I called, they had the wallet waiting in the reception area. Not only that, but I had an email waiting for me when I got home from them stating we had left a wallet behind. I will definitely be staying here again!

Great room at a great price!

Our reservations did not go through so we did not stay there. Lucky for us we have made a second reservation

It is very close from the strip but the hotel was/is going under maintenance or remodeling. The workers were making noise in the middle of the night. I woke up and complained to front desk.
