Heading to Guatemala? Looking to visit El Chiflon or the Lagos de Montebello (I would recommend both)? Perhaps even just visiting Comitan? This is a very affordable place to stay, its pretty basic but effective and very cheap. A shared twin room (a double bed and a single) cost MXN 140 (MXN 70 each), a solo bed will put you back MXN 90 from memory. There is no kitchen to use and I didn't really like the showers (a little too high school-changing room for me and probably freezing in the winter) but it was functional and comfortable (the room I stayed in was pretty sizeable and I slept like a baby). The main plaza in Comitan is just around the corner and its a 15 minute walk to the main road where you can pick up transport to anywhere you need to go...to put it frankly, you can't really go wrong for the price.
