Awesome place lots of history from Mexico . Beautiful pools and 9 hole golf course.  Horse carriage around golf course.  Great breakfast buffet.  A lot of flowers and old old trees. The hacienda has over 200 rooms and there are weddings on weekends as well as business meetings.

The hacienda has great weather year out, really close to Cuernavaca and Mexico city. Open spaces, not crowded at all.
 
Its not suuuper luxurious....because you aint paying top dollar, its great value, restaurant, room service and spa, seemed to me on the cheap side.

On the negative side. Rooms ARE dated.

Surprisingly nice place with welcoming staff and delicious food! Hasienda has big territory that you don’t feel surrounded by people. We will get back to this beautiful place. Our family spent very relaxing weekend.


Reviews here paint this place as run-down, but it was not the case. The hotel is located inside a 16th century hacienda, so the structure is quite something to behold. It has three pools of varying temperature, including a warm one specifically for children. Lush gardens within the complex and a golf course just a few steps away. Food is very cheap and quite tasty: the breakfast buffet is very good. Although the rooms are very simple and sparsely furnished, they are very charming.
All in all a pleasant surprise an hour and a half away from Mexico City. A must if you want to take a short weekend getaway to leave the bustle behind. Will be coming back. 

This place is amazing -- it's an ancient ruin with a modern hotel built into it. It has like 5 massive pools, and you can swim around the ruins. The food was amazing here and really inexpensive. And the staff and servers were friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Absolutely stunning location. Gorgeous pools and grounds. I would stay here again. The only issue I found was very slow staff. Drinks would take 30mins plus to arrive, despite generous tips. Trying to order yourself would take even longer stood at the bar. 

I am a regular, rooms need to be modernized, fshe has no ability to attend to the public, she is even rude and despot. In the restaurant I recommend the attention of the Teodoro the hostesses are attentive, it is Mexican food without much spicy, quite balanced. Free parking and especially, it is a hotel that has good security measures. It is an old Hacienda Cañera restored and well preserved. You will have a great time.

Is really the door to the paradise of America, not only because it was the origin point of search for the Fountain of the Eternal Youth or still been the land of the Eternal Spring, but for the colonial heritage of the venue with all the gardens and pools filled with water that still arrives through an aqueduct, simply marvelous.

The service, the staff, the accommodation and restaurants are really good.

The best in the zone: it is very safe and secure.

The hotel dates from the 60's, and you can find a lot of things from the sixties in the rooms, such as switches and contacts, as well as bathroom furniture.  There are three pools, only one which is heated, but if you don't mind the cold, the other two are almost free most of the time.  The gardens are very nice, and there are a lot of things to see just walking around.  It is well worth the stay if you are not going to be connected all the time;  it is a place to relax and forget the outside world and all the problems associated with it.  The downside;  the hotel is in need of some serious maintenance all around.

The open  areas are very nice, it has several swiming pools, and nice gardens, plus the golf course.
But,  the rooms must be remodeled, URGENT
About the restaurants...The buffett is ok and prices are quite moderate, but the a la carte service is terrible; service is TOO slow and when you get at last your food, it is cold. That is an area that must be  greatly improved.

My family and I had the opportunity to visit this place during the Easter break. Cocoyoc  is ideal to relax for a few days and walk away from the daily stress. Happily, it has comfortable places where you can have a cold drink, enjoy a book or swim, for example: long green esplanades, three pools and a large corridor surrounding a golf course. In addition, the hotel has several restaurants beautifully built with colonial architecture designs. Unfortunately, the food takes a little more than usual to get served, but it´s absolutely worth the waiting.

Relaxing indeed.

We came for a couple days on family vacation and enjoyed the peace and quite. It’s a small place where you can get away from crowds and just relax!!!!! Well worth the drive from CDMX. 

Food can be better and service during the week. All restaurants are not open daily so not many choices on the property.
