Casa Misifus is an excellent choice: easy quick stroll to the beach, Malecon and Centro. Quiet and safe area yet close to great restaurants. Well appointed private suite with kitchenette. Lovely pool. Cate serves a hot breakfast every morning and is attentive, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We had wonderful time at  Casa Misifus.  Lity was a perfect host, the view is great, the grounds lovely and the pool an absolute delight.  We will come again.

I liked Misifus because it is ideally located.  Walking distance to shopping, groceries, restaurants and the ocean but far enough away from the town centre to be quiet. Kate is helpful and speaks great English.  It has an awesome upper deck that you can relax in, play cards or just watch the people and the ocean.  There is a beautiful pool to swim or just cool off in.  And for short stays, breakfast was included and cooked fresh every day. The property and rooms are very clean.  The kitchen has very thing you need and they give you a big bottle of water which lasted us 9 days.  The water is hot in the shower. Everyone was welcoming and friendly.

Cate is a welcoming and super helpful host. Casa Misifus has been spotlessly maintained and hotel is within walking distance to Barra De Navidad core. The sunsets from the hotel are beautiful.

I liked the privacy and options the location gave us. In particular Kate the manager was very helpful in local information. Great place to relax and enjoy Mexico.

Kate is a super conscientious host.  She was always willing to help and offer suggestions.  We enjoyed our time so much that we've booked for next year.The sunsets from the roof top patio were amazing.  Many thanks Kate

We stayed for 7 days & really enjoyed our time at Casa Misifus. Cate was very welcoming & the rooms are  very comfortable & super clean! Housekeeping staff cleaned everyday & changed bedding on a regular basis. We would definately stay there again!

Relax in beautiful Barra

Fantastic pool and rooftop terrace are amazing and Fantastic staff.  Internet was at times weak, but that is standard for small Mexican towns especially during busy times.  Bed was supposed to be a King, but ended up as two twins pushed together but was not a problem since they used King mattress covers and sheets.  Great location, an easy walk to Centro but far enough away to not have party noise bother you.

YES on Casa Misifus.

This fantastic little place was our home for 6 weeks while we continued our Barra de Navidad experience. Cate and her staff run a very clean and attentive operation. The location could not be more prefect, close to the ocean, downtown and the barrio.  We would have stayed longer but we had a reservation at another property. The 2 resident dogs are very friendly and are characters! Thank you Cate for an excellent time.

6 Weeks of Barradise

We stayed here 5 nights and liked it just fine.  The ground floor with the pool is well groomed and attractive.  The water temp while we were there was ideal.  Our 3rd floor room was clean and large with 2 doubles pushed together for a comfortably large bed.  There was a comfortable couch, table and 2 chairs.  Kitchen was minimally furnished but no microwave.  

Nights were quite.  Room has a quite ceiling fan and the air conditioner was also quite, so we slept good.  Plenty of hot water and good pressure.

Breakfasts were not exciting but were fine to get a lazy day started.  The hotel is only a short walk to the center and there was car parking there or on the street.

All of this might not matter as the hotel is up for sale.  It would be a loss for lodging options in Barra if it goes private, and interestingly, we learned it was built as a private residence originally.

Good hotel, but maybe not for long

Absolutely Fantastic!Room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. Garden and pool were beautiful, quiet and clean. Throughly enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Coffee was delicious! Our hosts and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We really had a great relaxing time at Casa Misifus. We have already recommended it to others.  Thank you

Fantastic little hotel!

Wonderful property, spacious, clean, pretty room with a comfortable giant bed, couch and table with chairs, fully equipped kitchen (minus microwave). Gorgeous pool surrounded by tropical plants. Great communication with Cate, instructions on how to find hotel and more. Simple but solid Breakfast (fruit, eggs, beans, french toast). Relatively quite neighborhood, easy walk downtown. Nice ocean views from sun deck.  Would definitely come back!

Beautiful, comfortable room, tropical pool oasis

We came to Barra for a day from Manzanillo to visit friends from back home in Canada. Casa Misifus fit our needs perfectly and the hosts Kareen and Ricardo were over the top friendly and helpful. The room was not fancy or on the beach but it was clean, quiet and secure.  The home made breakfast was outstanding. A short walk to the main beach and downtown area.

Very Nice Hotel in Barra de Navidad

Very personal care. My husband was sick and I wasn’t feeling well the day we left and they made us a home remedy that was very helpful. Cate also bought a hairdryer for me as they didn’t have one on the property. The property was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It has a nice pool and lovely terrace with a great view. The breakfasts were excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone.
