Totally comfortable place, and really kinda hidden, which makes it even nicer to have a great rest. Even if you don´t have any experience with fireplaces, people in the place are really nice and handy. Everythings was so clean and in great conditions.

We stayed in Feb 2014. The cabin was great! The space was kept very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The fireplace was great for the cool nights and a lovely amenity. The personnel was nice and friendly. When asked for more firewood for the second night of our stay, a new supply was waiting when we returned from a day of sightseeing. It was quiet, beautiful and relaxing. We didn't use the internet, so I can't critique that. I have shown pictures to friends and many wanted the contact info for their future holidays.

To arrive to Valleescondido you'll pass gorgeous farm lands, many cattle, fields of corn and lots of villages with accompanying "topes."  Hugo first met us and was especially attentive to any of our needs.  We stayed three nights.  A great place to visit with lovely cabanas using natural wood and stone.

We were sorry to have missed meeting Willy.  He was up at Jalisco with his agave/tequila business.  His son Cesar returned from Palenque and it was great to talk with him a few times. In general, they no longer have a guide service, but offer all kinds of advice for visiting pyramid sites, special villages, lakes, etc.  Meals are served both at the ranch and across the street in their combi stop restaurant.  I especially enjoyed the multitude of different trees, pastures, trails and cattle coming in at night.  There were close corrals of horses to see and we heard the calls of howler monkeys in a nearby jungle.

We crossed the road to a small local store and bought thick rubber strips that the local boys use to make their sling shots.  Another restaurant is close by.

Amazing place. Very clean, nicely decorated, great view. Perfect stay, recommended. We enjoyed the fireplace. Great night. 5 minutes drive form Huasca center. Everything was perfect, basically, I could imagine a small kitchen, as a practical asset because there is no food facilities on the spot. Highly recommended to disconnect from the city.

There are MANY cabin options in Huasca but after spending some time in Mexico City, which we truly enjoyed, we thought it would be great to spend some quiet time for a three-night stay in Huasca and the Valle Escondido proved to be a very good choice.  The room was comfortable and clean with a nice little deck and a fireplace stocked nightly with kindling and firewood.  We were there at the beginning of July and the temps at night dipped to the 60s so having a little fire was nice.   
There are only 6 cabins so it never felt crowded. It was very quiet even with the windows open.  There is wifi but sometimes we'd have to ask Hugo, the manager, to reset it but, generally, it was available.  There was cable tv as well, which was nice because we wanted to watch a soccer game.  
Most of the people who stay there are Mexicans with their own cars so this is the caveat for staying there --we did not have a car and here isn't a restaurant on-site and no kitchen area for guests, no coffee maker/microwave or mini-fridge in the room.  It didn't bother us because we'd just walk into town, about a 25-minute walk.  We'd have coffee in town in the morning, go on our excursions, have a big lunch and then later, walk back into town (or call a cab, it's just a few dollars to get into town) and pick up some food to go to take back to our room (roasted chicken).  We picked up some plates and forks at the OXXO and so we'd have dinner that way.  We never could understand when things opened up for dinner but as were there in early July (not high tourist season, I guess), restaurants closed early and we like to eat late so we did it that way but you can always go into town and have an early dinner in a restaurant too.
Hugo, who manages the place, was very helpful when we needed taxis or a guide for some excursions.  
So, it would be nice if there was a mini-fridge so you could store drinks and food but it wasn't a big deal for us to walk into town, or get a cab; we managed.  If you want real peace and quiet, give it a try.
