Palazzo Prince d'Orange

We stayed in the Wilhelmina Penthouse. This has two double rooms, but also a lot of further space - a good size kitchen / living / dining room, a den with TV, and a terrace overlooking the harbour. It felt very roomy for our family of four. We only did limited cooking, but the kitchen is well equipped. There is also access to plenty of shared space. Next door to Willhelmina is a large kitchen and dining area (empty throughout our stay) with access to a further rooftop terrace. In the basement there is a respectable gym including a sauna, though we couldn't figure out how to make this work. The location is fantastic, only a short walk to all the key sites of Valletta. A good supermarket is nearby in the basement of the Food Market. As others have noted, you only occasionally see staff - this is closer to a serviced apartment rather than a hotel. That said, the staff we did see (or emailed) were helpful. Our after-midnight arrival was no problem.
