Good value for money!! Lovely staff and excellent location :) Easy access to food, public transport and the beach!! Good sized lockable lockers. Staff recommended checking out the English Cafe Malta (Instagram), it was amazing and a great way to make international friends while travelling!!


Great location!! 

I was harassed by a drug addict, in the same dorm, who was looking for reasons to fight me, a man who even confessed to be expecting his friend to come over and give him pills. 
When I told the manager what had happened he shrugged his shoulders in a very condescending way and refused to believe me.
For my own safety, I  chose to move out the same night and was not offered any form of compensation, losing nearly half of the money I had spent on my stay.
Please stay away from this place.

AVOID

Positive aspects are the really good location in Sliema almost in front of the bus stop Exiles which will take you everywhere, close to many restaurants/markets and also on walking distance to the harbour to take ferry to Valletta. The hostel also has a terrace which is good for photos. The kitchen is well equipped despite being small. 
I was in the orange room (female dorm) and it was very spacious, however, it was like 8-9 girls in one room sharing one bathroom with toilet. For emergencies there is a toilet downstairs used by the staff. There was no fan or air conditioning but when asked, the owner provided a fan for the room. 
Pillow was very uncomfortable and I used the folded bedsheets/blaket as pillow because they were softer. There is no reception but the staff sits on the couch in the lounge so you can ask them for help. One of them does not speak English but usually they were trying to do their best. Owner also came to help and check when hair dryer in the room stopped working. Internet worked fine.
Breakfast was just bread and jam and a cake.
Perhaps if they have private rooms it is better.

Pros an cons

The hostel is perfectly situated, just few steps from the sea and the city centre. They offer a basic breakfest - coffee and bread with jams. We have shared a room for 8 people with a shared bathroom. The bathroom was old and used. I would recommend to change the shower curtain as well as the bedding. 
I would not recommend this accommodation for a longer stay, for 1 or 2 nights its fine.

good for a one night stay

Stayed 1 night April 2018. Quiet side street location. Friendly helpfull staff. Shared room mixed 6 persons. Slept good. Shared large toilet and bathroom with hot water. Towel and bed sheets and pillow cover provided at no extra cost. Roof top sunbathing relaxing  possible.  Breakfast included..basic but adequate. Great restaurants nearby. 1 min walk to seaside , bus Tec. Very near Valetta.

Excellent Hostel 94 Malta

Had a great stay in this hostel. We booked a private room and get the best one - the suite on third flor. The staff was really nice and the place was very clean. I'm satisfied with what we got for our money. 

Great stay!

Needed a bed for one night, called the night before and paid 17€ for a bed in shared bedrooms and included breakfast. Friendly staff, ok bed, and got newly washed towels and linens. 
Reason for not full score is that their AC was really bad - only a fan in the roof, in a room for eight people. 

Quick and easy

I stayed in Malta for a week. I'll start with positives. 
Malta is beautiful and highly encourage you to go, I'm considering going back at the end of my holiday for more sun.
The hostel welcoming. I was greeted out the front by Andrew, he was pleasant and explained the layout of the hostel. The other staff I met were very nice aswell. 
The bed was comfortable and the lockers were large but I feel this is possibly the last of the positives. 

Don't get me wrong, my stay wasn't horrible and it would only take slight improvements to make this hostel even better. 
For a start cleaning. The room was "cleaned" everyday. Now the bathroom was my major issue during the stay. The shower curtain was dirty and had a very unpleasant smell. It just needs replacing. 
Upon leaving the hostel I was checking around my bed to make sure I had everything. The beds need to be moved to be cleaned and they will find all sorts of things under there. 
There is a small kitchen there that you can use. Although I found basics that are included at all other hostels I've stayed at not to be seen. There was no tea or coffee (except for at breakfast), and utensils were few and far between. There was no tongs, and no can opener and that. I survived but it would be great for more utensils to be added. 

Breakfast is included and it is basic cereal and bread with some kind of cake also. I was sad to see no toaster. So I improvised and cooked it over the stove. 

Wifi was free which was fantastic but unfortunately it did cut out quite a bit. 

Like I said I feel slight changes (in particular) to clean would improve this hostel so much.
