We visited from time to time before the terrorist attack in '17, but this was the first time back since they rebuilt. They have tightened security: unlike many places in Bamako where you open your bag and they just wave you through, they really examine what's in there. They have expanded swimming options: instead of one pool below and two small ones up the hill, there's a huge pool with a water slide now at the top of the hill. I have to say we have never really been impressed by what we've eaten there, esp. for the high prices. You aren't allowed to bring in food, so you need to either schedule your visit between meals, or hope for the best. Anyway, it remains one of our favorite places to take guests and enjoy a quiet day together or with friends.

the  staff is freindly , recomanded place for relaxing . prices are normal like other restaurents in the town .

I was told by friends in Bamako that this was an oasis of peace. I was not told that:
-this place is the best representation in Mali of the hypocritical white burden old fashion colonialist standards: at about 70euro a day, not even including breakfast, the cost of anything there inside is not even thinkable for the villagers outside their guarded gates. The perfect place for the snobbish westerners, or wannabe westerners, who want to feel that they try'the real Africa'. All of this while poor children stare at you from outside the gates while you pass with your suv through their villages....While you support the eco friendly social blabla of a relative of a French actor at a cost that you would never pay in Europe for a place like this.
- the place is run down: AC was not working in my room  and at 43 degrees you suffer. I asked to change room:  they told me that most rooms were without water. One swimming pool was  not working as well as WiFi (though they present the self with high speed WiFi). 
-everything is overpriced and average. You would not pay in Paris a simple breakfast 10 euro. Here you pay a coffee with bread and fried eggs, not a real breakfast buffet (again, in a country where eggs cost a fraction of what you can imagine). No, it is not the cost of labour that makes the price... Perhaps the bribes to Gov to keep the business on, perhaps the high security, don't know. It is frankly impossible to figure out what is making it so expensive. 
- security: the bangalows are scarcely illuminated, making walking in the dark a real challenge. I fell into a dead bird while trying to find my way toward the empty restaurant. Some people may find it romantic, personally I found it disgusting and dangerous. 
Not willing to go back.

Overpriced and run down

This is a little gem, right in the heart of Mali.  So beautiful and peaceful.  Wonderful food and people. There are two restaurants and two pools.  One of the pools is in natural rock formation with a huge wooden deck and bar.  There is also a zip wire which runs from this deck to the restaurant below.  The owners even make their own artisanal furniture.

It's quite far from downtown Bamako--but that is also it's raison d'etre--a refugee from the noise and bustle of the city. 

The facilities are austere but in a charming way. Trump may feel out of place. The Dalai Lama would feel at home. The food would probably be judged as average by both. Half of the menu was out of stock too. The pools are carved out of a magnificent rocky ridge with breathtaking views of the plains below. Shame you have to get out of the pool to enjoy the views since (for reasons beyond me) trees have been grown (or let to grow) on the edge of the pool with their leaves blocking the view. 

Overall, a worthwhile escape from Bamako.

This place is very lovely, it's spacious and has amazing pools. The food is really nice and refreshing. The cocktails were. Out nice though. It's much like a family place, would be nice to chill at during Sunday's. The problem is the amount of young people who come there who are just so loud and have no consideration for others, they are pound and want to be seen which is annoying because we are not at a club, and the music was just too vulgar, which I don't mind, but when there is a lot of kids I don't think it's a good thing. The bunch of you think that was there had a drone and it was just so annoying to have it driven over our heads during lunch time as if no one has ever seen a drone. (Rolls eyes) it was annoying.

Nice place to visit, accept its annoying for people to be flying their drones over your heads while you eat
