We never made it to this hotel after a passing of a  family, I tried contacting the hotel directly & got no reply so after 3 attempts by email & 2 by phone I contacted Expedia to explain my situation & could my booking be put back by a week they managed to contact the hotel who refused to move my booking which I thought was very poor to say the least!!

No compassion

i decided to stay there as i had an early flight and they are quite close to the airport
and with this the positive features of the hotel are over

The hall is a fridge, aircon is kept too low
rooms are tiny and very noise being on a busy road
restaurant is pretty average 
cost/quality is to high

**Update**
Mar 7, 2024 - I finally got through the hotel's hotline, but to be answered by the receptionist that they will need to check with the accounts department first.
When I further asked roughly when I will receive an update, they simply said it's out of their control and that they will get back to me.
I then explained that the hotel has blanked my emails for past two months, hence I just need to know if I have to wait another week or however long before checking again, but of course the receptionist was unhelpful and (rudely) repeated that someone will get back to me.
Can't quite believe still at how unhelpful the receptionist was and his nonchalant reaction to my deposit being held for two months unreasonably. I did call back right after to get the receptionist's name, but of course no one picked up (as they have caller-id to my number).

Mar. 4, 2024 - I emailed the hotel to chase for the refund status as they previously promised to refund in 10 working days from Dec. 28, 2023. It is now two months and counting on.
And of course, they had blanked me since, what a joke/scam this hotel is.

Dec. 28 evening - Hotel email responded, promising full refund.

Dec. 15, 2023 - hotel confirmed booking and pickup arrangements
Dec. 24 - I emailed & requested for cancellation via guest portal
Dec. 25 - portal rejected cancellation request
Dec. 26 - hotel emailed back "In our system the booking still confirmed" and ghosted me every since
Booking was for Jan. 4, 2024 and cancellation deadline is 5 days in advance, so even though I had cancelled in advance, I still do not get my money back. I had tried calling and emailing several times but to no avail - do not book with this hotel as they are such a scam.

Scam hotel - refund chasing process made even more unpleasant by unhelpful receptionist

I stayed here for a single night prior to flying on to Vietnam. 

The room and bathroom were both on the smaller size but was to a great standard. The staff could not be faulted and the complimentary airport shuttle transfers were greatly appreciated. The restaurant is at the top of the building and offers very good food to a nice standard. The views afforded from the restaurant were brilliant and I was able to break out the laptop and have a pleasant few hours work whilst enjoying the food and view.

My only negative was that there was a political rally outside the hotel that went on until around midnight. Not the hotels fault but it was incredibly loud with music to the point it felt like you were front and centre of the rally. This couldn’t be helped and was simply timing of my arrival. Had it been a day earlier or later it would not have been an issue at all.

Cosy Rooms With A Nice Sea View From The Restaurant

The hotel is on the beachfront and our rooms faced the beach with a small balcony. We stayed in Male on the way out to the resort and before flying out of Male. Rooms were clean although a bit dark esp in the bathroom  with an excellent LaVazza coffee machine. Breakfast buffet however was nothing to shout about nor the dining options. It was adequate not excellent nor was it lousy. However reception staff were helpful and polite. The free pick-up from Male airport after a short wait was seamless and the drive to the hotel took only about 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. 



Stand out service for a small hotel

Summer Beach in Male was a great experience. The best part was the balcony facing the Indian Ocean and beach. Although our stay was short, we were able to explore the city of Male and come back to a nice, clean, and safe room at Summer Beach. We also tried the restaurant on the top floor which was a pleasurable experience. Food was good. One con I would state is that we asked the night before that our breakfast be packed for us since we had a early flight, however, we never received our breakfast and realized when we were already at the airport. Lastly, when we were sleeping, the power light on the A/C was so bright in the dark that we had to cover our faces when sleeping.

Good experience at Summer Beach

The summer beach Maldives was truly nice. I had booked the room with the balcony its worth every penny. I got to enjoy the views every morning and the staff was extremely nice and attentive. Also of your coming from the airport they come and pick you up which was a nice bonus! I wished they had a gym but other than that the hotel was excellent.

The location was great making it easy to move around. Room was very comfortable. Staff were really nice and helpful. Breakfast was great. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Male.

We had good time, good we pick this hotel very helpful staff and friendly, airport pick up and drop off was good, and since we  are vegetarian they tried cook for us.Very accommodating.Location very good and convenient.
