There's nothing yet on the island, no beaches, no restaurant, only locals. It's good for exploring authentic Maldives. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the chef cooks quite well. Rooms are okay but if you want to taste the ideal Maldives you have to go out from K. Guraidhoo which is quite expensive even if you take a snorkeling tour 5-10 minutes away from the island.

We stayed for three days as a family and we were overwhelmed by the warm hospitality of the staff particularly Sharif who attended to all our request. The rooms are large and clean and comes equipped with cable TV. The free WIFI connection at the guesthouse is a perk too. Request for the rooms at the second floor with is airy. Ask for extra blankets as the aircon can get pretty cold at night.

The breakfast offering is simple yet tasty and obviously prepared with love. They will even BBQ the fish that you catch for you FOC. The Maldivian curries served was really mouth watering. 

. There is very little to do in Guraidhoo bearing in mind that the island is new to tourism but the warmth of the islanders make up for it. There is pride in the upkeep of the island and it is generally clean. You can request for fishing trip, a picnic by the sandbank or even snorkelling at the reception. They can also arrange for interaction with the locals and we even attended a traditional Maldivian wedding. The guesthouse is also conveniently located about a 3 mins walk to the jetty and there are convenience shops nearby. Go to the sandbank nearby for a little picnic. Definitely a good choice for travellers who want to enjoy the simple things in life and relaxing by the beach.

You should be prepared that the non resort islands have garbage and are not set up for swimming and hanging out at the beach so you will need to plan on excursions. But the island is wonderfully quiet and nice for walking, and people who stay at resorts go on outings too, and pay much more than the locals will arrange for you. I stayed for four nights which was perfect, three nights would work, too.
I had booked another guest house, but they had over booked and Dacha's took me in.  I was very happy with my upstairs room with a deck, (be sure to request a room with a balcony) and with its location near the beach.  They arranged two wonderful day trips for me and some other travelers I had met. We went to picnic island, which is only for day use and has a few very nice cabanas around the island that guests may use for shade.  The snorkeling was good; go on the outer side of the reef for large quantities and varieties of fish.  The turquoise water is exactly what you had envisioned. When they had said "picnic", we were thinking sandwiches, but they cooked up a fresh fish and pasta.  Great day. The next day they took us to two sites; turtle reef and banana reef. The snorkeling wasn't so great at turtle reef, but we did see a beautiful (hawksbill?) turtle.  The snorkeling at banana reef was impressive.  Shallow, so lots of up close color, lots of healthy coral, and a huge range of fish.

If one takes into consideration the conditions under which  they operate on this small Island, three hours ferry trip from Male, everything is suprisingly good.
Be patient, your on holiday arn´t you. The staff is doing their absolute very best and they are very kind and helpful and will fulfill all your dreams in the best possible way.
Newly renovated and well kept, this is probably one of the better buildings on the Island. Nice little garden and open lobby where you can enjoy your brekfast and food.

Guest house , no hotel.

Surrounded by high brick walls and located in a village of palms and white sand on the small island Guraidhoo. Ferry ticket from Male ca. 1 USD. The baggage were transported from the jetty in wheelbarrows.  Our ground floor room was very basic, but good size and well air conditioned. View to the courtyard/tv-sofas/breakfast-area. OK for a short stay if you're on a budget. We ordered a local speciality (not on the menu!?) for dinner - very tasteful. The guesthouse can arrange snorkelling/diving trips. According to Maldivian law women must be fully dressed when sunbathing and swimming (except at the international resorts). Females who prefer bikini, can hire a boat to an isolated island, I think. Beware of strong currents. The locals are very friendly, and some of them offered to guide us around their nice muslim community. It was moving to hear the tragic story from the time when the great tsunami hit their village.
