99 reviewsVery much enjoyed our stay at Yonder Retreats and recommend to everyone! The staff is friendly and Ali was an awesome responsive and supportive host. My boyfriend and I were visiting a friend from Maldives (she lives in Male, the capital) but wanted to experience a local island beforehand. Yonder was recommended to us by her. We're so happy to chose this place! The retreat felt like a hybrid between a hostel and a hotel. There are different visitors that you can interact with (we made friends with a Dutch couple!) during mealtimes, but everyone gets their own room, which gets cleaned every day. The common space has awesome snorkeling and beach gear you can use whenever you'd like. The island of Bodufolhudhoo itself is amazing. It's so small and cute and the locals are friendly (be sure to say 'ciao' to the little kids running around!). The visitors beach is heavenly and we felt like millionaires with our own private beach many times. Only a short swim away from the shoreline is a reef with lots of cute fishies. The excursions we took were Island Hopping, Manta Ray Snorkeling, and Sandbank BBQ dinner. All 3 were so great. Our favorite was the Sandbank BBQ dinner :) And not to miss, the food was amazing!
