Stayed here 3 nights, clean rooms with TVs and AC. The receptionist was friendly. We did our laundry here aswell. 

I'd advice people that are staying here to rent a bike or car to go around, the place is fairly quite with no much to do. We ended up going to a different beach everyday.

Coco Valley is a budget hotey to stay located at Kuah town.Hotel at upstairs and Chocolate shop is downstairs.Surrounding area of the hotel is a lot of shoplots that sell a lot of things likes bags,clothes and also household items that are duty tax free.There is also a variety of food stalls that we can choose to eat.The best food we eat is at Uncle Jai's Cafe which is located at the back of the Coco Valley hotel that offer variety of foods from Western Food to Local Foods.Last and not least if you're coming on school holiday there will be Uptown @ Night Market at Kuah Town that sell a lot of things.

The hotel is quite new and the room is clean with slippers provided in the room. The wifi in my room is quite stable as it is located just beside the reception. Some room does not come with window (i get the room with no window), if you need one with window, best suggest to request it when you make the booking. The air con is very noisy during the first night stay and i complained about this to the reception the next morning. They promptly react and solve the problem. When i arrived back to the hotel, they already fix the problem. The room was tidily cleaned up and new towels were provided. The hotel is located strategically in the Kuah commercial zone where you can easily accessible to banks, restaurants, free duty shops and 24 hours mini marts. The Kuah Jetty is located about 5 minutess drive from the hotel. Overall, it was a comfortable 2 night stay.

A very budget stay

Good value for money

Let's start with the hotel.  There is no lift, so I had to lug my bag up two flights of very STEEP stairs.  The lady saw that I was single and alone, so I believe she gave me the worst room.  The room had no window, and the walls were filthy with stains of God knows what.  The furniture was old and the bed had springs coming out of it.  I pulled back the comforter and there were long black hairs on the sheets.   The air conditioner was barely working and there were no remotes for the air conditioning or the TV.  She said, "You have to do everything manually.  I also told her that I was new to the area and wanted to take an Uber to the pier to take pictures.  She rudely mocked me and said, "What do you want to take pictures of".   Ok, in all of the pamphlets that I picked up it said that the jhetti was one of the best places to take pictures.  I stopped communicating with her. Also, after leaving the room, I realized there is some sort of mold or allergy in the room because I was stuffed up and couldn't breathe the entire night.  

The town - This hotel is in a horrible location and it felt very dangerous.  It was apparent they do not like single women travelers.   There was no decent place to eat breakfast or lunch.  I went to the only coffee shop around the corner, and the woman rudely stated when I wanted a basic hot coffee, "Maybe in 10 minutes".  I left.   Although there are duty free shops, after exploring the merchandise, it appeared that most of the merchandise was expired, old or dirty. I bought nothing.   

Also, I went to the night market and was stared at and looked at like I had 5 heads, as the men and women refused to serve me.  This is not a welcoming area for foreigners or white women, and they will refuse to serve you.  Also, two times I went into the local market to get water, and although they actively refused to take my credit card, (Cash only), I saw both had active and open credit card machines.  This is overall a very unwelcoming, sketchy area and I would AVOID at all costs.   I would recommend staying closer to the beach.  I took an Uber away from this little town and the areas outside this town were PERFECTION.  

This is a really bad area.  I am a single woman, and a foreigner.

Disgusting.  Not Worth The Money.

Stay there for 2 night and is really a nightmare. The air-cond is not working properly and we feel so damn hot, request them to repair and asked us to wait tomorrow. I had a feeling due to we check-in late therefore, the room we get is not properly maintain or seldom use that explain why from the bathroom shower to the air-cond, all is not working properly.
