I read some of the reviews here, some dated a few years ago. Qualifier: I have been coming to Flora Bay for many years now and I continue to com back. I've seen the owner and their team build this place up bit by bit. They are family run. I spent 6 nights here and it is still the perfect place for me. Staff is friendly. Place is tidy and clean. Rooms have recently been spruced up. Dive shop is excellent. The beach is superb!

Guests have to take a boat transfer from Kuala Besut Jetty to Perhentian Island, where Flora Bay 1 is located.
Most of the boat operators are not licensed and they will wait for a minimum of 12 passengers to fill one boat before ferrying them to the island
