Friendly staff, clean room, nice work of art, impressive, great b’fast. One small feedback to improve, celcomdigi line has little to no coverage in the room

Loving the ambience and the Peranakan features and explanation plaques. Great customer service by the staff, especially Michelle. Only cons is that sound proofing of rooms could be improved (door closing sound is loud). Will definitely come back again.

Fantastic location and ambiance for a one night staycation!  A bit of an issue with some odour, nothing spraying air freshener cant address.  Hope to come again

What a gem! A renovated house that is unbelievably beautiful - blend of simplicity and charm. From the arabesque tiling, water features and murals this boutique hotel is a must stay.

We sincerely appreciate our late booking of the room with the kind gesture and assistance from the HQ.  Our late check in was attended to by the reception staff with good gesture politeness. The room to our surprise was very modern, comfortable and clean.  The ambiance made us feel very much at home.

Great place to stay…very central to the hotspots, and a beautiful hotel!!! Really love the space, interior, and facilities…Enjoyed my stay here, will definitely stay here again if I’m coming back to Melaka

It was a great experience staying in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and makes you feel like home. The environment is clean and very relaxing. The hotel is architecturally designed and the historical elements of the original building were remained. A great experience of the new and the old! I would definitely recommended this place to friends and family ☺️

We have just spent a wonderful two nights with family at this gorgeous hotel. Location is excellent right beside Jonker Street. Rooms were very comfortable perhaps upgrade if you would like a window or balcony. Our room only had internal windows but we didn’t mind this at all. 

There is a beautiful aroma of lemongrass in the reception as you arrive. We were also offered a welcome drink which was a nice touch. 

The area just outside the entrance is beautiful with tables and chairs for a night time drink. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing listening to the sound of water a beautiful ambience. 

A big shout out to Shirleen in reception who organised a fantastic tour guide for us which gave us a great insight into the history of this historical town. She also gave us brilliant recommendations for restaurants and even booked one for our first evening. Thank you so much Shirleen ! 

We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t comment on it but there are so many eateries in close proximity to the hotel you’ll be spoiled for choice. 

We look forward to returning to BaBa house!

We have traveled 74 countries and have stayed in all kinds of accommodations. We chose Baba  House this time purely for its central location but what a lovely surprise we had! 
The hotel took 5 years for a complete renovation and they did it brilliantly! It's a modern hotel setting but gives a bygone era feel throughout and had so much fun during our 3 nights stay. A special thank you to Ms SheLeen, the Public Relation Manager, who facilitated us with special access to the upper floor so that we could have some photos taken from various angles, deeply appreciated! 
To us, staying in the Baba House is not just another hotel stay, it's an unforgettable travel experience!  Highly recommended to fastidious travelers!

The location itself is really great as it is just within a walking distance to Jonker Walk. The hotel is just on the road next to Jonker Walk and is quiet. The hotel gives out great vibe and the service is top-notch. The rooms are clean and well maintained.

Inconsistency in the sense of the items in the room. I booked 4 rooms and some rooms were given slippers but some were not. Even the items in the bathroom also inconsistent like my room was not provided with cotton buds and the others yes. And most importantly for the price we paid, we were not provided with hair dryers and had to ask for them but were told they were lacking of hair dryers. I requested for one and ended not getting any for my two nights stay

Great Location But Needed Improvements

Beautiful hotel very close to Jonker Street and great restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and room was clean and comfortable. Very nice remodel of shop houses and we would stay again. I rated it 4 stars as there are a couple of things to improve. Would be nice to have robes provided for use. We were put in a disabled persons’ room which wasn’t a problem except there’s a lack of surfaces in both the room and bathroom. No shower enclosure so water went everywhere. AC was stuck on cold so switched it off. Breakfast was fine but lacked variety. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

The Baba House Melaka is situated at a tourist spot.  The eateries and shopping are within walking distance.

Highly recommend Baba House! Great hospitality and the environment here is absolutely eye opening! The building reserves and maintains all the heritage well, full of baba, nyonya style in the building! I also want to shoutout to Shirleen, who is very friendly and suggest a few places for us to visit oriented restaurants in town!! My experience here is 5/5!!

Don’t miss this out if you’re looking for something special!

Only spent one night here and was greeted by Shirleen and the staff. The hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Since we were only staying the night we asked Shirleen who was most gracious and helpful with assisting, to plan out our stay in Melacca. She gave us many tips and locations on where to visit and local cuisine to eat. Shirleen was so generous during our stay here, and you could tell how excited she was to share her culture with us. DEFINITY TALK TO SHIRLEEN!

Amazing Place

Baba House is a modern, clean and efficiently managed hotel. It's interior designs, although modern, has a pleasant peranaka feel throughout. It has a welcoming front courtyard with a few sets of garden tables and chairs leading you to the bright and comfortable lobby. The room a reasonably furnished and comfortable. There is a rooftop tanning area on level 3. There are a few rest areas with reclining chairs. Nice to watch sun rise and  for a evening view of surrendering area. Car parking is available for a daily fee. Breakfast is included in the daily rate. I love the local nasi lemak. There are other simple local and western food to choose from. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Don't be afraid to ask the staff for information and advice for special local eateries. Baba House offers good service and value. I will come back again. 

Baba House has interesting modern design with Peranaka flavours. Great value for money.

Beautiful place! Everything in this hotel is just lovely. Rooms are nice and clean, size of the room is not too big not too small. Guests can also have a movie night where its screened outside the hotel at the sitting/ dining area.
There's a private parking for hotel guests too but parking area is quite small so may not be able to get a parking if there are lots of guests. Anyhow, a very beautiful and interesting hotel this is.
