We didn’t realise when we came to the cafe that it adjoined the Nonya museum. While it serves traditional Nonya food we were able to get Western food for the children.

I have to say that the laksa I had was excellent and the building is fantastic. It really felt like a taste of real, historic Melaka and I can’t praise it highly enough.

Historic delight

It offers local and western dishes that are really great, even though the very expensive fast food we ate was really good, and it's a shame the staff isn't here, and there's no smile and no sympathy.

Good but no smile.

We stay here for 2 nights. Location is very easy to find and located right beside the Baba Nyonya museum, actually they used to be one properties but now divided into cafe and hostel. Cafe 1511 is only 5 minutes away from jonker street where you can food and shops.

The room and toilet is clean. The floor is wood (which is usual in old houses there) and abit noisy when you walk around. they only have limited rooms. and the staff is friendly and informative with interesting places to go to. dont have any complain here

Quiet facilities very near to Jonker Street

Beautiful place and really centered. Easy to find and clean we liked it. The welcoming was not so nice but we liked a lot the place and the traditional house. It's connected to the baba and nyonya museum house that is so worthy to visit to understand the cultural architecture and way of living! 

One night on melaka

Cafe 1511 is adjacent to the Baba and nonya museum and is owned by the family. Serving coffee and snacks mainly it’s a good way to start or end your trip the museum in the heat and humidity of malacca. We had popiah and pai tee along with coffee. Priced reasonably. Highly recommended. Wish the owners made the atmosphere more inviting by leaving the fans running so that new guests would get a good impression of the place and not assume it was stifling hot inside.

Cafe stop before musuem

One night in Malacca in this charming little hotel very well located. Our room was small and comfortable, the common bathroom clean. Be careful because the rooms are only accessible by taking a very steep staircase, but this establishment is really charming. The only negative points: a really not famous breakfast and a very impatient hostess.

Very charming and atypical hotel

Right smack on Jonker Walk just next door to the Baba Nyonya Museum. Beautiful Nyonya setting. Simple antique decor. Guess I expected a little too much. Food was just okay. However service was pretty good. 

Okay Food

I was a guest at this cafe today and was pleasantly surprised. It is a small but simple restaurant. Inside it is equipped in Asian style. The food is freshly prepared. Drinks are cheap. Two iced teas and a watermelon tank cost about two euros. The food was well spiced.

Honest cuisine

Despite the excellent review on the Lonely Planet guide the coffee 515 11 is not at all comfortable bad staff despite all clean rooms breakfast poorly centered in the small town no but if you can look for something else the rooms are on the main street noisy all night we slept nothing

Avoid it

Very nice guesthouse typical Peranakan style for an exceptional price ratio with breakfast included very clean common room and bathroom very good location in Chinatown I highly recommend this guesthouse
