179 reviewsWOW we spent two nights here with our friends. The staff were great. Meeting us from the boat, checking in, spa, breakfast and dinners. The hotel is totally different from anything else we have stayed in. It is rustic which adds to its charm. It is in need of a touch up, but with the conditions it is situated in, wet, humid and termites and bugs it is great fun. The rooms were big and clean, the food was also good. Breakfasts had great choice and so did the evening dinners. We went on two day trips, the waterfall, with a one and half hour longboat sail up through the amazing waterways, hornbills etc on view. To a swim in the waterfall followed by a cooked lunch-in bamboo, chicken etc and fish. A trip in the canoe to a Longhouse, Menglak, arrived soaked but in good spirits, it is in the rainforest!! Rice wine and whiskey, dancing etc. A night time jungle walk, even seeing a snake. A canopy day time walk, both guides were great fun and informative. A massage which was very hard and thoroughly enjoyable. We were lucky as not many people here so it felt like ours. A nice chill in the pool. Thank you to all the staff.

Arriving at Batang Ai: Batang Ai Longhouse Resort is located 275km from Kuching. There is only one shuttle that departs Hilton Kuching daily at 08:00 and reaches Batang Ai Longhouse Resort by approximately 12:30. A ferry will then take you across the lake to the Resort. Thus, you must make the shuttle booking once you have confirmed your reservation. Shuttle transfers are chargeable. In case of varying flight schedule, you need to stay at least one night in Kuching before departing to Batang Ai Longhouse Resort the next day Departing from Batang Ai: The shuttle will depart Batang Ai Longhouse Resort at 13:00 back to Kuching, the journey takes about 5 hours. Thus, please ensure that the departure flight is at least after 20:00. |
