Kuching is like Borneo's gate.Multicultural,quiet and friendly city.
The same I could say about Bori Ottok Guesthouse and its owner Matt.
The property is very good located,close to many restaurants and bars.
My room was superclean as a whole house too.Matt is a nice guy and always willing to help and gives very useful advices-just ask him.Thank You Matt and see You again.My recommendation

Stayed here for 5 nights , clean and tidy, breakfast included , Matt was very helpful , always willing to arrange or help even though at the time he was a bit poorly (get well soon). 55 RM for a double room and worth it. Loved the place , keep up the good work 

We stayed 4 night at Bori Ottok. When I arrive somewhere, I usually visit some hotels before choosing the best one. That was the first time I didn't want to see anyother hotels. Bori Ottok is Cheap, Clean and the staff is really nice. Bathrooms are outside dorm and room but there are really clean!! 
Also the staff and the owner were super nice. We had a really good time there. They also gave us many information.
This is one of my best places since I'm travelling !

Perfect location at the center on Old China Town, close the to river. The nearby restaurants are not so cheap but the market is also close by where you can find any food you like. 
Beautiful Chinese temples at every corner. 
You can easily catch the bus to Bako NP just at the traffic lights, 2 min walk.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Basic rooms but clean, also the common facilities are very clean.
Printing service is available, good for printing boarding pass.
There is also a self service laundry very close.
Only bad thing is the breakfast is was poor, but at least it is included. (only toast bread and peanut butter with coffe/tea)

I have just stayed at Bori Ottok for 3 nights. It was slick, well laid out and thought put into the design and set up like a boutique hotel, crisp sheets and super efficient and friendly host. 

The host is a mine of information and happy to help and explain everything. Such a wonderful place.
