1ACS Hostel

It was for a church activity that the 36 of us stayed at 1 ACS hotel. I took the twin bedded room. This hostel has its priorities on the dot! Despite its budget status, they provide what is important to a traveler. The bathroom is clean, bright (big frosted glass windows), with hot water and the water pressure for shower is strong. The room is non carpeted so no risk of it smelling funky. For a budget room, they provide (if I remembered correctly) up to 4 power sockets. In addition to air con, there is also ceiling fan which will minimizes potential complains on the coolness of the room. Having said that, there was nothing wrong with the aircon in my room. It was perfect. Other necessities are also provided such as a small side table, foldable desk, one plastic chair, towel, soap, shampoo and a mug. You can request for a hair dryer from the reception if you need to. Please note there is no television, cupboard and the size of the room is small. The other thing I like about this hostel is that all the rooms are on one floor. Reception in the middle with both left and right side are the rooms. This is fantastic as we could still hang out together at the reception where there is television, sofa sets, water dispenser and a fridge provided. Good for group stay as it makes it easier for Team Leader to keep an eye on everyone. The only semi negative remark I would made about this place is its location. It is not exactly walkable to any shopping malls or attractions. You definitely need transport arrangements. However, it is okay if it is just an overnighter as there are shoplots nearby where there is one bakery and one or two (at the time of writing) kopitiams for food. Any longer than that, you would need Grabcar.
