Been traveling to Malaysia for over 6 years so I can say without a doubt that Paper Plane is the best hostel in Kuala Lumpur.

Here is why:
Always super clean - the bathrooms are checked constantly by staff.
Always nice and cool inside (good air conditioning).
The best location - It's in a quiet nook of KL that is also nearby to so many places (Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang, Pavilion Mall, and VCR cafe is right around the corner).
Staff are always excellent. Mika manages everything and is almost always there. She's great.
Beds are very comfortable and sheets are nice.
The rooftop are is also really nice for having a drink and looking out at the city.
Wifi is always fast so you can do work or whatever.
Also, Paper Plane is in a totally remodeled colonial era home which is really amazing and quaint. 

Stay at Paper Plane, you won't regret it.

Best Hostel in KL, Probably the Best Hostel in Malaysia.

Arrived here for a 4 day layover to explore the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, heard good things about this place before and when I came here I was not dissipointed. I loved the actual hostel with it being just as clean as my own house. 

Beds and mattresses were probably one of the most comfortable I have ever been on, they could pass even in a hotel! Very cool layout and the atmosphere of the building is definitely something amazing to experience, even though this isn't a lively hostel with any super unique experiences. You won't find a better place to sleep and stay at in Kuala Lumpur 

Also to note the hostel is in a location central to the city and Singapore-Malaysia bus if you are coming that way as well
The staff are also beautiful natured, very helpful and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is as good as possible.

One of the most clean hostels I have ever stayed at

I booked 1 night for my short travel to Kuala Lumpur - private room. The hotel staff was friendly and always smile, Room was clean but a a bit small.  it was a bit far from centre and not easy to find, it was quite expensive and price was nearly as high as a 4 star hotel which I stayed later.

Clearn and quite far from Center

This place was perfect for our stay in KL - walking distance to a few key places and to transportation (including the free public bus). Staff was very friendly and always helpful. I loved all the cats that chill on the outdoor patio! The place itself is very clean and well maintained - the bathrooms were never dirty and always contained everything you need. We had a private room and I would have liked a window, but for the price I can't complain. Overall a great hostel!

Friendly and Clean!

This is a wonderful little hostel. Good location near a big street food street, near-ish to MRT. Staff were super nice, and the room and facilities were very clean. This isn't a super social or party hostel which is exactly what I was looking for.

So good hostel in the center of KL, in an authentic and beautiful house. The staff are all so great, and it is really clean. The roof top let us free place to chill and relax. The hostel is good located, in a quiet quarter, not far from china town and place to hang out.

I got there early coz of my day tour, they let my important things in safety along side with my friends valuables. I like that. I felt safe, i get to relax after tiring day (because of day tour). Free water and hot shower are important for me! Highly recommended!

Malaysia Trip

My first stay at Paper Plane was late last year and it was my first choice returning to KL. Had a really late flight and was greeted very warmly at 2:00 am. The place, if possible, is kept even cleaner than it was last time I was there and the team is still amazing. Wifi was steady and I highly suggest you take advantage and sign up for their 'airport share board', saved a ton of money heading back to the airport with one of the other guests.

Another Great Stay :)

Its a great clean place, beautifully designed.. gives a very high end art gallery type look, thats coz it was designed by an artist. 
The owner/manager is super knowledgeable, she was the perfect host. 
I kinda overslept and almost were about to missed my bus, but she literally took me in her car and dropped us to the stop. And I managed to catch the bus on time coz of it.
i was shocked and amazed the lengths they went to help.
Paperplance hostel genuinely cares about their guests and they will go over and above to make ur experience better.
It didnt feel like if was stayin in a hostel, it felt like stayed over at a friend's place. I would be coming here again.

Travel around asia, back and forth to Malaysia, this is my first time staying here and I'm regret not to stay with them early! I rarely gave any review to the hostel that I stayed before, but this one is special:

My first impression about this hostel is soooo good. The location is not at the main road, but so easy to find if you follow the direction they gave to you through email. Lobby area is small but very cozy - please be noted that this property is not a party hostel, sometimes I feel I own the whole hostel because not so many poeple and quiet. I love it! They have small garden outside the porch and cute cats.

The bed is so comfortable with two pillows, shelf, own socket and also private light. The locker is big enough to put 60 litre backpack. No deposit upon check in but 20 MYR deposit if you borrow the adapter or padlock - they will give back the money when you checkout. Laundry service from 10 to 15 MYR - washer and dryer. Drinking water machine at the pantry is a big pleasure since the weather is so hot and I need to consume lots of water. No breakfast provided but who cares when they got lots of restaurant nearby. 

Wonderful staff - Fa was very welcoming and always smiling. We had a really nice conversation during my stayed. She also help me bought a ticket bus and gave suggestion about my trip to North India since she's been there before. On my last night, Fa even bought me a dinner and met her awesome cycling's friends! Thank you Fa! 

The most thing that impressed me was the property is very clean - it was like they sweep the floor and clean the toilet every minutes! The housekeeping & staffs really take their job seriously which I think its really hard to find in asean country. I will sure to come back again!
