Campbell Antique Hotel & Cafe

We stayed here for 3 days, and was so warm welcomed when we arrived. The hotel is so beautiful and renovated in colonial style from top to bottom.
The staff is so helpfull and friendly. Service is top class. There is a nice roof terrace and the location is perfect.
We can highly recommend

Nicest owner I've come across for a long time, so helpful, kind, cheerful and friendly. It was a delight to stay here. The place was quiet, the room comfortable, and it was good to have soap and shampoo available as well as tea/coffee facilities. Great location too. I'd very happily book again if ever I am in Georgetown.

A very nice hold building in middle of the Chinese district of Georgetown. 
The hostess is wonderful and collect a lot of items from old time. She has the history of all her antiques and it is a pleasure to listen her. 
The place is good for the purpose price and sufficient for a short stay with the family.


Beautiful olde worlde hotel. Excellent location with superb shopping and dining close by. 24/7 mart directly across the road. Excellent aircon. Bad wifi stops me giving this a 5 star rating for its price. Friendly staff.

We were there 10Jun - very clean cozy room feels like Im staying in my Auntie's house.
Very good location - with many Yummy food - We love Tai Tong TimSum which is just across the street.  There is a local morning market, a walk away to Chulia Street/ Love Lane & Kimberly street - Plenty of food.
Specially thanks to Moon - who is super Friendly - shown us where to get around bought us some local snacks too....

This is more of a guest house than hotel and not much of a cafe at all. The place is clean and provided soap for showering. The AC works but not brilliantly and the TV has limited if any channels for tourists (NOT that we were there to watch T.V.). 
There is no daily cleaning or room make-up, so if you are staying more than one night be prepared for this. 
The place does have a very lovely collection of antiques and collectables and the lady running it is very friendly and helpful. 
I wouldn't return but may work well for others. There are other places in the same price bracket with far more to offer.

Quirky

that would have safe us a lot of time. On entering, we were told where to sit, so being a antique shop/cafe i was having a wonder around and stopped by the stone face woman stating unless you have a drink you can't walk around.  Ok, but i was planning to.....drinks ordered so have permission to walk around.  seeing sign everywhere, no pictures, do not touch, no entry..etc.  It's a quaint place, try to have polite conversation and find out history of the place with stone face woman, and got monosyllabic answers, so gave up, but she was chatting to someone she knew in the shop loudly and we can't help but feel that we were an inconvenience to her.  Two ginger tea (made with powder) for 13RM.  spend your money else where.

Why don't you just have a sign saying you are not welcome to enter....

Apparently Campbell Antique Shop has nothing to do with Campbell House. It is unfortunate that this shop’s dubious practice is affecting adjacent businesses. Having an antique shop that does not allow you to come in unless you buy a cup of coffee is absolutely crazy and inexplicable. What is the logic???
