We stayed here for three nights and found it to be a good place to stay. It is located on a quiet street about a km from the Center of the city. The place is very clean, good wifi, nice kitchen facilities. The owner was very helpful. Would recommend a stay here. Only downside was not near many places to eat but was near a good grocery store. 

Rooms are really nice here, really spacious and with fan and AC. The hostel has really good security as it's an electronic door you need a key for. Staff were very helpful in telling us how to get around the city.

We had a perfect stay in Hamoni home. It's such a cute and lovely place to stay that we didn't mind that it wasn't in the core zone of George town.
The manager was always very nice and happy to help, we really felt like home. 100% recommended!

This place is opened more than a year ago, but the rooms and common area look as new, like they are newly painted.
I have stayed in many hostels, but this is so far the cleanest. The room was bright, simple and it had a homey feel to it, we slept like babies. There's fan and AC in our room. Towels were provided too.
The toilet was super clean, no hair or stains. The strong hot water shower was a plus as I love hot bath, they even provided shampoo in the bathrooms.
The pantry was very clean too, there's a hot and cold water dispenser where you can get water to make anything you want without having to boil it yourself. There's fridge too to store your food.
Another plus goes to the free WI-FI. I can connect to it at any corner and had no problem going on fb or watsapp.
The owner is a young man that loves art, he decorated the place himself. He's very thoughtful, the details he put in his design show his effort of making sure his guest is having a good stay. He cares for the customer. He sent us messages to inform us where to park if we can't find parking at night. He showed us where to find good food and where to visit in Penang. We will surely stay here again for our next Penang trip.
Strategic location, in the George Town area. Convenient to get to other places or attractions. No problem looking for food as there're restaurants everywhere, in front, next doors and at road sides.
This neighbourhood is peaceful and very safe. To enter the homestay, you need keys and a card.

Stayed at this property on end August this year which bunch of friends (6 pax). Check in about 12 midnight after a long drive into an 1 room 3 bunker beds situation. Admit a bit squeeze but we are cheapskates anyway, so no complaints. Basic amenities are available like air conditioned room, fridge, electric cattle and a simple kitchen. It even have a dining hall, a.k.a, living room, a.k.a. meeting place, whatever you want to call it. We explore Penang's eatery during the morning and evening, but stayed in during the hot afternoon, and it was very pleasant indeed. No problem with food as there a few food courts around. 
We recommend this property for group travelling.
