You share a huge apartment with other people. Ours had 4 bedrooms and we shared the living room, dining room and kitchen with them. The apartment would be good enough for 20 people :-) . For ~35€ it is a great stay on the 12th floor. The apartment is owned by someone and they just rent it to you. You have to call the owner and he will come to give you the key. Would always come back!!!

Huge apartment 

The apartment itself is fantastic, massive rooms, 4 bedrooms all with ensuites, wonderful view of the coast from the balcony, great location and nice pool. But,
I booked this on a hotel site, which didn't give any indication that it's shared accommodation. Its difficult to find, as it is within a complex named H residence, with no Casa signage. When we arrived the staff called Gary who turned up and said he had been trying to call me (no missed calls on my phone though). He showed us around the apartment and as it was empty we were able to choose the room. 
We were required to pay cash - no receipt was issued.
We were booked for 3 nights and he informed me that on 1 of the  nights a couple would be staying. Rather than leave (which was my first instinct), we thought this would be ok given the size of fhe place. 
Every night there were other people, and as our room was near the lounge room we had the sound of the TV and children running down the corridor. 
We found it really difficult to stay and when we were there, stayed locked in our room.
It would be great for a big group, but not a couple like us, unless you want to stay in a group house!

Nice apartment,  not enjoyable.

When we booked the hotel/room, we thought it would be a full unit however we paid almost RM200 for just a room. The room smelled of cigarette smoke every time we went out and came back to the room. Really bad smell. There were other people living in the same apartment as us and it was kinda weird because we had to take off our shoes every time and had to talk softly because the room was not soundproofed. 
However the pool was ok and the bathroom was nice too. However no toiletries were provided, just a kettle and cups in the room. The balcony of the unit was overlooking the whole Penang which was one of the only best things about the place.

Total lack of privacy

I honestly wished I had read the review on tripadvisor before I booked this apartment on booking.com.   I had exactly same nightmare experience as other reviewers- received a whataspp on the morning of the booking from a guy called Gary asking us our arrival time, when we reached we rang  Gary to ask for directions to the apartment, he said he'll meet us at a nearby Macdonalds to take us to the apartment,  we waited in the car then 10minutes later we received a whatsapp message from Gary to say he is not coming as the apartment was not available due to plumbing issues, not even a courtesy phone call to cancel,  no clear address to find the apartment etc,    Same excuse as other reviewers (plumbing overflow issues), therefore I think the whole booking/ accommodation is suspiciously fishy.   I believe some scam is going on but of course no proof.  Therefore, only to advise any readers to avoid, and book at your own gamble

Major scam, avoid booking

First of all, the place is not what is listed and cannot be found at the location on Booking.com  The telephone number provided does not answer and if it does, you will be hung up on.  AVOID, AVOID, AVOID THIS SCAM
