158 reviewsReally great wholesome resort with super friendly staff. Arrived and met by a buggy that takes you up to reception and on to the rooms. Pool incredible and not sure if we were out of season but both beach and pool were empty during the day. Great location. For the sun as well if you wanted to top up a tan. Family were happy with the pool but as mentioned beware of the jellyfish. Went in the sea to paddle but several large (not poisonous ones) washed up on the beach. Suggest wet suit if surfing. A few bars/cafes on the beach but do alternate open days so check before going out. A little limited for choice outside but restaurant was great in hotel ( oceans) with good selection. Cherating resort unfortunately seems to have become a bit deserted. Not sure if this was covid related as with most resorts but a lot of hotels are closed and derelict along the whole East coast area we were in. Hotel is DRY by the way. You have to bring your own beer if you want one during your stay. Really enjoyed being here. Definitely for the more adventurous European family. But a stunning spot. Thank you to the wonderful staff.
