Yellow House is an unwelcoming place, so please do yourself a favor and do not volunteer here or stay here under any circumstances. The owner of the "organization" Yellow House spoke horribly about all of the volunteers behind their backs and created an extremely hostile and inappropriate environment. I am actually afraid to write this review right now, given how horribly she treated the volunteers during my time there. There are so many incredible organizations in Kuala Lumpur, and this is not one of them. Please do not come here.

Joined the Unseen Tour - Temple & Heritage Multicultour today and it is an eye opening for city folk who have been grown up in Kuala Lumpur for over 20 years. Meet up with Shyam and her assistant Win below the Chow Kit Monorail Station. It was a great experience for us to be able to visit one of the busier morning market at Kuala Lumpur, 3 temples, a church & a mosque before we took our group photos at Petaling Street. We got to learn and further understand other religions' practices and normally if we pass by any other worship places, we do not 'dare' to enter but with this tour we able to enter and view without worries. We highly recommend this tour to everyone include local if you are in KL to take up either one of Unseen Tours package. Not only will bring back old memories but also learn the unseen.Thank you Yellow House-Unseen Tours for the 3 hours led.

Today I went on the Unseen Tour - street art tour and it was amazing! It was given by “Rain” and travel assistant Nad/Nat. I felt we got a great view and understanding of Kuala Lumpur away from the touristic areas (the only place I encountered other tourists was at the meeting point). We saw different big street art murals, learned fun facts and history about random places around the city, and loved learning more about the meaning of the unseen tours, how it’s aim is to help build new characters and brighter futures for the homeless, and the work of Yellow House.
Highly recommend a tour with unseen tours if you’re in KL!  

Amazing local tour off the beaten path!

Living in Kuala Lumpur for the past 8 years, I thought I knew this city but after taking this two and half hour tour, I was proven wrong. My friend and I had wonderful time exploring unique and deep places that are known to the local people, at the same time had our eyes open to the life of the city’s street people. 
We were lucky and honored to have owner of Yellow House herself and a volunteer to join us, together with amazing guides Zahren, Josh and Saf. Because we took the Multicultural Tour, they brought us to see the local markets and worship places from different religions. Despite being recently graduated from the training, Josh professionally and untiringly explain to us the history of century dated worship places, cultures and religions, while Zahren occasionally chime in to add in more details. Saf was little shy but he’s happy to answering any question. 
Above all, we were inspired by these individuals who are taking the initiative to get back on their feet, through their passion and aspiration to have a more meaningful life. 
We would highly recommend everyone (yes, even the locals!) to go on a tour with Unseen Tours of Kuala Lumpur. You will be surprise with hidden gems of this city!

Unseen Tours opened up new perspective of Kuala Lumpur that I have never seen before!

If you are looking for a way to see Kuala Lumpur with insight that you can't get on any other tour, I would wholeheartedly recommend booking one through Unseen Tours. I would suggest that you start your trip with one of their tours, as you will get a good grounding of the city to prepare you as you continue your subsequent sightseeing (they can also help you understand the free bus system that I had no clue even existed). 

Zahren was just an incredible person, who clearly has firsthand knowledge of the living conditions of individuals living on the streets and a good grasp of history. He was very professional, but also very humble in his interactions with me, and he was candid and open to answering any type of question, which was very much appreciated, as I certainly had lots of questions. I wish I had more time with him! I think it was especially more memorable for me given my interest in law, criminal justice, and social policy, all of which I was able to ask him about with his experience. I know I would not have been able to learn all that I did if it wasn't for this tour (I was on the Haunted Tour, by the way). I was lucky with the weather, and I enjoyed being able to walk around the city. 

The tour was super easy to book online, the staff of the organization was very responsive, and the tour was incredibly affordable and totally worth it. The social business model they are employing is unique, and I would book another tour with them in a heartbeat when I return to KL. Thank you for your time and awesome insights!

The most unique way to see Kuala Lumpur and learn about Malaysia

It was a day with high expectations with a high degree of curiosity. We started our epic journey making a funny selfie in front of the main entrance of Central Market. Zahren, the man with lot of firsthand experiences and knowledge was leading us presenting many places along with many stories. I love the way he presents and the vast knowledge he possesses regarding the history of KL and the hidden stories of the central market area. We were travelling to many places on foot, which were interesting and epic along with the wonderful explanations of Zahren. It was not by force he explained the hidden stories of Kl ,but out of his personal experiences. The way he present the facts was very much interesting for me. It took around two hours to finish off our tour. Thoughout the time we were experiencing lot of places which were ancient, scary, heritage and not even a single minute was boring. It never disappointed me choosing unseen tours.It was interesting and an joyful time we spent with the unseen tours.
