Mercury Boutique Hotel

My husband and I stayed there for two nights. At first we were given a room on the first floor but after we pointed out the 'partial seaview' mentioned by Agoda, the receptionist kindly changed our room to the third floor which did have a partial view of the sea in the far distance, haha. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our double room with a queen-sized bed was small but good enough for us. Came equipped with tv, mini fridge, safe box, open wardrobe, full-length mirror and hair dryer. We were especially impressed with the 'sleep' light just outside the bathroom which was dim enough for us to sleep yet bright enough for us to find our way to the bathroom during the night. There is also filtered water besides the usual faucets. It would be better if there was a toilet paper holder and something to prevent the water from the shower to flow out of the shower area. Our bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Another plus point is the free parking available under the flyover just across the hotel which is only accessible with the hotel access card. Good location too, near enough to walk to Jonker Street, Stadthuys, etc which we did, far enough to not be disturbed by the loud music from the trishaws.
