Sweet Lodge

Sweet Lodge is ideal for a layover. The lodge is a converted large wooden house. Pretty charming with a large outdoor garden area. The lodge is close to the airport (10-15mins drive approx) and has great food service and strong free wifi. The room was very clean and staff were friendly. Bonus for staying here is transfer to and from airport is covered at no extra charge. If you just have a day to kill before your next flight this place is perfect to avoid having to go through all the traffic in town (saving plenty of time and effort)

We spend one night in the Sweet Lodge in december 2014.
The place is nice in an old wooden house onle tem minutes drive from the airport.
The lodge has everything you need.
Most importantly they pick you up and bring you to the airport for free.
You do not want to be alone in antananarivo airport. It is a horrible place and you can trust absolutely noone.
I was very happy to see someone with my name on a board waiting for me there.
The staff speaks english and i will recommend the place to anyone arriving late in Tana

We had a short stay over. There was a problem with flights and our room not being available yet, management compensated us with a free sight seeing trip to town, while preparing the room.
We had dinner that night as well - Excellent food
Our transfers where included in spite of departure at four in the morning

Nice friendly staff, spacious bedroom and communal sitting room. On a sunny day the garden is also very pleasant to while away some time reading. We were en route to Paris and needed somewhere to wait between flights (rather than the Airport). Perfect location (short drive to and from airport with transfers included in the cost of the stay) and also the option for a good lunch and dinner (vegetarian options available too - the vegetable fritters were lovely). Would definitely recommend - we were 4 female travellers and it worked very well as a safe and comfortable base. Also free Wi-Fi to check in for our flights which was very helpful.
