I should have read some reviews before booking a night here. I have to agree with the previous bad reviews, I shared the same horrible experiences....
First you'll notice that the pictures on the internet are completely deceiving, I guess those pictures were taken many years ago when the hotel started its business.
Now its all very old and it's obvious they're don't care about maintaining it or renovating it....the paint on the walls are peeling off, the furniture are now very old, the bed sheets were dirty with some weird spots on them, the heating system was down (the guy at the entrance told us the system went down the day before which I doubt), the air conditioning in our bedroom didn't work so we were left freezing, the light in the toilet didn't work (the guy had to come and replace the lightbulb), the wifi is extremely slow you can barely browse the internet (also the guy said yeah its weak in this area in general, I don't believe him as well).
We stayed for like 1 hour and a half deciding whether we could bear all this crap until we decided to unpack and book another hotel.
Of course not a penny was refunded given that I expected the service to be horrible as well.

"Avoid at all costs"

Where do i start. From the disgusting floors to the dirty sheets and towels to the lack of hygiene in every single aspect in the room. No hot water. No heating inside the room. No amenities its all a lie. Dirty DIRTY DIRTY!!!!!! THE WATER CAME OUT YELLOW THE JACCUZI STINKS THE ROOM HAD WATER INSIDE ON THE CARPET THE ROOM SMELLS. NOT PROFESSIONAL. THE GUY DIDN'T CARE THAT EVERYTHING IS BAD AND HE WOULDN'T GIVE ME MY COUPON BACK. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. THE FURNITURE IS BROKEN. NOTHING, AND I REPEAT NOTHING INSIDE TBIS ROOM LOOKS LIKE ANYTHING ON THE PHOTOS. THIS IS THE HOTEL FROM HELL. LIARS FALSE ADVERTISING. this hotel should be closed and never open. We switched from the first room to the other and still it was disgusting the 2 rooms are having a competition which is more bad. Never ever think of going there. The hotel should ld be demolished. Disgusting disgusting disgusting. Zero professionalism ZERO

Worst experience ever

Worst manager ever!!! I booked a massage with private jacuzzi during January and when we arrived, the manager of the Spa, I think his name was Georges.. wasn't welcoming at all, we arrived early and has been on the road for an hour to arrive to the hotel, usually when we book a massage at an hotel we can have access to the jacuzzi and the indoor pool before starting our massage but at Grand hills unfortunately and without any previous notice, this wasn't the case, he told us to spend two hours somewhere else and then to return back to the hotel. 
I asked if we can access the pool, he said that we should pay extra cost in order to access it so we decided to cancel and we went for another place.
This was really disappointing for a 5* hotel.. my first and last bad experience there! 

Spa 

Okay...so the pics make this place look awesome... and let's be fair, i think it used to be... but not anymore. It really needs renovation. Everything seems old and the paint needs retouching, the  furniture should be changed... the hot tub wasnt really appealing, its clean but doesnt look like it... the room we stayed in LiTTLE BUDDHA was spatious and clean, but worned out and could use a lot of renovation. There was supposed to be hot water but we couldn't shower properly because the water stayed cold...
The location is good, very close to the main street but at the same time calm and quiet. The staff at the reception were nice and polite. The breakfast was acceptable. Internet connection was good in our room but it stopped a lot. 
I think if they renovate this place it would be really nice...


Pros and Cons

Have you seen "10 Abeed Zghar"? This is the impression you get about this hotel. 
1) No sign to show that you arrived 
2) It looked haunted
3) Gloomy reception
4) Miserable receptionist
5) Inside the lift looks like a coffin
6) Burned patches on the carpets
7) Foot steps on the walls
8) Torn curtains
9) Sewerage smell in the rooms
10) Toilet door handle unavailable

Each room is given a concept and furnished accordingly. Got the room 203 first which was Shahrazade - there was damp on the ceiling, the bedding had red bloody dirt on it. We asked to change room and were given room 207 which was Elvis. We checked the bedding and it hadn't been changed. The smell of sewerage was the worst especially early morning.

A friend had room 204 with the Buddha theme.
The JACCUZZI did not work!!! We spent ages to fill it up and it did not turn on at the end. 

The BREAKFAST in the morning was bad - we were curious to see what they will provide: cold boiled eggs, old pastries....  

Don't be fooled by the photos on their website as it is definitely photoshop and the hotel is NOT AT ALL WELL MAINTAINED.

It is a pity because the rooms are enormous and the location is ideal.

Hotel of hell

-The hotel is soo old and very badly maintained. We couldnt know we arrived beacuse there were no signs not even on the front door.
 It looked like an abandoned old building if i havent gone down to ask inside. 
-The front desk operators were so unproffesional and seemed like they were dying. Not a single smile. 
-The hallway leading to the rooms had burnt floor carpets, dust from the "jafsin" walls( probably from the many holes in them)
-the door of the room is soo old. The handle kept falling off. And it squeeks like in horror movies 
- Too many curtains that made the already dim lit room seem gloomy.
- The room's wall paint was so bad it had a lot of patches and unfiniahed places and different colored spots. 
- Half of the ceiling is ruined by moisture
- Very bad lighting in the hotel rooms and hallway and lobby.
- Dirty bed sheets ( i brought my own from home)
- The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke
- The closets and furniture were very bad.

Definitely not worth the money. I payed 50$ for the night. Worst ive ever spent.
