Panda-Nams , SIA, Viesu nams

After a long day's cycling we weren't expecting much from Panda Nams, however, we were pleasantly surprised. The hostel consists of two separate flats, each with a kitchen, shared bathroom and numerous bedrooms. The lady in charge is extremely friendly and helpful despite not speaking any English (her equally friendly and delightful daughter does though!). We were given an extensive tour of the premises, which are located right in the centre of town, and as we were the only occupants (it must be a relatively new place), we basically had the place to ourselves. As we didn't know whether we wanted to stay another night, we asked about free rooms and were greeted with a friendly but unobtrusive answer that we could just let her know by midday the next day. Really easygoing! The room was really great, too. Spacious with a comfy bed and a little corner with a table, chair and sofa. The bathroom and shower were very clean and warm water didn't cease. Storing our bicycles wasn't a problem either! Heartily recommended for the hostelgoers among you, it was probably the best place we stayed at in latvia!
