our reservation was canceled and we had to pay under the table. The room itself was not as in the pictures. claustrophobic and extremely dirty. the walls had yellow stains, and there were black hairs everywhere, and water dripping from the loft. there were no locks on the doors or toilets and no possibility to store one's belongings. there was only one closet for six people and no way to move around the room. Would not recommend in any way!

4. A big 7/24 supermarket nearby. 5 mins walk to the train station, within 10 mins walk to the bus station via underground passages.

缺點：
1. 置物櫃收費1歐
2. 床下沒有大的置物櫃，上床的背包客背包浴巾鞋襪個人物品亂丟散落我床邊，覺得不是很舒服，而且看起來不乾淨。
3. 在床上睡覺覺得全身很癢不知道為什麼。
4. 沒有棉被要自己蓋外套睡覺
5. 下床空間很低，要彎腰低頭才能坐在裡面。
6. 因為緊鄰大馬路其實車水馬龍的聲音十分嘈雜不間斷，而且車子經過屋子地板就會震動。雖然我是個可以很快入眠不受影響的人，但還是覺得環境不太舒適。
7. 真的不知道為什麼分數這麼高。我去過將近60個國家住過好多的hostels，許多環境都比這裡好太多，但分數可能都不到9分。對9分有太大期待，反而滿滿失望。

1. The luggage storage COST 1€ but not mentioning in Booking.com page, please update! Though 1€ is like nothing but still I don’t feel good because you should mention that it’s a CHARGING service.
2. There’s no large storing place under the beds. I had one neighbor who was sleeping above me, his belongs such as towels, socks & shoes, backpack, personal items were everywhere on the floor near my bed and didn’t look very clean...
3. Have no idea why I felt itchy every time lying on the bed
4. There wasn’t the blanket or quilt for me, I had to cover myself with my own coat while sleeping.
5. The height for lower bed is very low, even I’m not a tall person but still have to bend down a lot when siting on the lower bed.
6. Just next to the busy street so you will hear the car sounds the whole day. And when big cars passing by, the floor is shaking... I’m a person who’s easy falling asleep but still don’t feel very comfortable with this environment.
7. Had expected more since its rating is above 9 points. I had traveled to nearly 60 countries and had stayed in many hostels, many of them were much better than this one but were only below 9 points. So I expected a little bit more, what I got was only disappointed.

Smooth check in. Edgar was super helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

Clean and comfortable, great location

Nice laid back place in central Riga. I stayed in a twin room which was a very nice spacious room.
The common area is a big living area with plenty of spaces to sit. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the old city. Nice place.

Good place

Nice and cozy place, shops and city centre nearby, bus station as well. On the other hand my experience wasn't fully satistfied - we recieved different room as we booked, the personal wasn't too communicative with just a basic English. Just enough for easyminded travellers.

Enough for a one night stay

Centrally located comfortable hostel. You can wile away hours in the communal areas or head out to explore with tips from the helpful staff or other travelers. Would recommend this hostel. Not for really light sleepers - though we were fine.

Great location and value, friendly hostel

Mr. Hostel is located just outside the historic centre of Riga, close to the bus and railway station. This makes the hostel a very suitable base for exploring the city and its surroundings. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, the common room is spaceous and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a decent meal. However, what striked us the most was the warm hospitality of the personnel, in particular Evita's. She gave us valuable tips on where to go in Riga (also during the night) and she even lent us the beamer one evening, so that we could watch football on a big screen. All in all, we were really treated as guests. This hostel felt like home and I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking good and affordable accomodation in the Latvian capital.

Centrally located hostel that excells in hospitality

We've been staying there for 3 nights during august.
Mr. Hostel is being runned by 2 young persons. They're even sleeping with you in the same room. 
All rooms were fully booked! It is not that big (maybe 5-7 rooms with max 8 beds), 3 bathrooms (2 showers, 3 sinks and 2 toilets)
Everything looks clean.

The big big positive thing I can say is that you can always ask them anything and they really try to give you the best answer! In the big living room/kitchen you can easily get in touch with the other travellers.
As it is a small one this hostel really makes you feel home! And the security is also on a high level (you have a code to get into the building)
