Riverside Hotel

We picked this hotel because of the price and available parking, which is not free, but not too expensive. Although the parking belongs to a different owner, and although you pay for it - as a hotel guest you can only park your car right in front of the hotel (probably due to hotel cams), where it's rather tight. The hotel looks nice from the outside and very nice and cozy inside. Feels new and fresh. The room was not too large, but decent. Nice bathroom. Overall - no complaints about the room except for the entrance door that is hard to shut. You have to really slam the door to get it shut. So you can hear everybody slam their doors - mornings and nights. Also it's a pity that there's no fridge in the room. Roomservice available every day. Hotel serves breakfasts, which are good. Nice choice of dishes and drinks. The restaurant where it is served is a little small, but still we never had a problem finding a place to sit down. The lady serving breakfasts was very pleasant and welcoming. So as the ladies at the reception were nice and friendly. The only real problem of the hotel is its location. It's a fair 15-20 minute walk to the Old Town through a not very pleasant neighborhood. Buildings surrounding the hotel are old apartment houses which look like slums. So the vew from hotel rooms - the parking lot and the slums. The people you'd meet on the way to the Old Town are sometimes you'd want to be alert about. I would probably not stay in this hotel if I didn't have to worry about parking. Although - once again - it's not about the hotel or its facilities.
