Absolutely the best camping in Latvia and one of the best in Baltics! Silence and peace in the arms of nature. Wonderful hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Camping is well acomodated, clean and very comfortable staying with tents and campers, also has beautiful eco houses to stay in. They have kayaks on campsite which is very conveniant, so you can go exploring Gauja National park straight away. I definitely recomend to come and stay.

Best camping in Latvia

We had the most wonderfull time at the Jaunzgeri Campground! In the middle of the Gauja national park and beautiful nature. You find super cute little cabins, furnished nicer than many hotels. Also there is a shared kitchen (fully equiped!) and baathroms. Everything was very very clean. There are many things you can do like classic barbecue and campfire but also play games like darts or use the sauna. There are litlle hidden surprises - like a piano! We did a kayak trip which was amazing! Linda and her family are super nice and friendly! They already helped us a lot with our trip planning in advance and also they were so nice to pick us up from the bus stop and bring us to the next town the other day!

This is a great place to stay in the region.

Reservation: We contacted Linda using Facebook messenger, she was very helpful and responded very quickly. We made a booking for 6 nights (less than a week in advance) all prices are on the website. To confirm booking you need to transfer the money, I was a bid sceptical but that was not needed at all, all went perfect.

The location is great there are a lot of things to do in the area

The cabins are very comfortable and the beds are very spacious. There is a shower and 2 toilets on the camping. You have electricity, a water heater and a small fridge in the cabin.

We took a kayak tour from the camping which was a great day.

Best place in the region

The log cabins are a decent size and even have a little fridge in them and a table and chairs outside. The facilites on the campsite are fantastic. As we only stayed one night we did not get a chance to use many of them, but the group area down by the river is excellent with fitre pits, cooking areas, tables etc. There is also a wood fired hot tub and wood fired sauna! The campsite also offers canoe hire on the river. A fantastic get away from it all place, but not too far from the town by car. The owners can also offer a breakfast, which was delicious. We had fresh made pancakes.
