- Horrendous facilities. The most disgusting toilets i’ve ever seen!
- Beds are hard & rooms not cleaned! 
- It’s a party hostel. There’s no respect for people who want to sleep.
- Kind & helpfull staff.

Horrendous & super disgusting place! 

We came here from Nana's hostel along the road because it was half the price and love this place, have been here for a week now with our group of 6. The guy who works here is called Chang and he is the happiest guy. Free breakfast and pool is brilliant too 👌 read the reviews from before but the creepy dude is gone thankfully!

We were welcomed, the rooms and common areas are clean, breakfast is good, friendly atmosphere Free whisky (but I would advise you to buy coca or else it's disgusting).

A good guest house.

Do not book this hostel if you have better options. 
We were two girls who wanted to get closer to central vang Vieng, so we took Chillao because it was the cheapest - but we would soon regret this. 
First of all the receptionist was so creepy - when we came in, he immediately gave us a creepy hug and we felt so uncomfortable. Because he seemed drunk and looked at us in a unprofessional way. In additional, one day we decided to use the pool he was starring at us from the reception all the time.
Second of all, the beds are a disaster, hard as rocks and dirty and 💩. We would rather sleep on the floor, but that was dirty too. Our room was broken in almost every way. Our door was broken and fixed with tape, our bathroom had a hole in the ceiling, the sink was dripping from underneath and the floor was broken too. When we went to shower the lights in the room started blinking a lot. You won’t get any peace in this hostel as a girl. Be aware that they play REALLY loud music in the reception all night and day, even if you are sitting down there talking on your phone. Never been to such a bad place as this. Should be closed. 

Btw, the pool is also filled with dead flies and the sun chairs are pure metal nothing on top. 

Creepy, dirty and a big mistake

Booked to stay here with my partner and another couple. Was not impressed.

One of the staff members was inappropriate and flirty the second I stepped off the bus before realising I was in a group - highly unprofessional.

Purely out of convenience we stayed for several nights but looked forward to leaving. Stayed in an average double room, relatively clean, WiFi and A/C worked but no one made it clear you need to hand your key at reception if you wish to have your room cleaned, you’re expected to just figure it out, this applies to bins being emptied, fresh loo roll etc. Breakfast was very basic and bland. 

I appreciate the cheap value accommodation but have stayed in many places at this point for the same price and This was one of the worst.

Do not recommend this to stay.

Not a good accommodation 

Fella from Ghana made us girls feel so uncomfortable! I was travelling with my husband and another couple, so not only were his advances not required nor wanted from the start, it sure as hell didn't stop him! Creepy and didn't feel safe there one bit so I can only imagine single women staying there. 
There's free whisky from 7pm-11pm that he offers. Wouldn't feel safe getting drunk there though. 
Heard rough sex with a prostitute in the hallway on the first night. Which was normal by the sound of the Ghana fella telling us couples that he could find us men, women whatever we wanted. 
Breakfast was average. omlettes were mushy and undercooked. They ran out of ketchup the first morning, I suppose you can't expect too much for €8 a night. In saying this however I've been to places which cost less and have had a much better breakfast.
Only good thing about the place was the pool which I soon learned was only there so old mate could film girls in their bikinis.

Felt so uncomfortable! Creepy member of staff. Women be wary.

I stayed three nights in a private room, which had the rotator cuff and the bed was so bad that we would wake up in the nights of back pain. We basically chose the pool, which we didn't use because there was no seating area, the restrooms sounded metallic and hardwood, they didn't put something on so that one could lie down and there was no wave, no music or anything. Only the receptionist grinding. The location and breakfast are fine. The hostel guy is the guy who grins with black skin, if the gray passes the guys who pass through the door trying to get people to stay in the hostel, but when one (the host) really gets to the station, the cell phone tickets are all the same and the whole thing is wrong.

Horrible 

I wish this hostel was closed immediately. The dirtiest, most unhelpful and unfriendly hostel I have ever stayed at. I booked 2 night and left after one night because of how unsafe I felt sleeping here. During the first night, at 1am the guy at the front desk at the hostel(!!) came into my dorm room and was “showing” these two Korean girls the room. He came over to my bed, completely drunk and woke me up and I jumped out of my skin. He left the room and then came back 2 hours later with the girls and they were having oral sex in the bunk bed NEXT TO ME!!! I couldn’t move I felt absolutely disgusting I wanted to throw up. I felt unsafe to move since he was drunk. I woke up the next morning, didn’t shower, grabbed my bags and left and never returned. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms, showers filled with mold, breakfast looked inedible and all the reviews about “such a nice breakfast” are complete lies, beds were hard as a rock, better sleeping on the floor. This hostel ruined my experience in Vang Vieng!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. PERIOD.

Really nice people, supportive and helpful, especially Chris :). Manager Chillao was also really nice. Place us cheap and quite, in good location. Free drinks, swimming pool and nice food. Strongly recommended!

Very nice!

Very interesting small room. A big advantage of hotels in this city is a free whiskey on the recpection which makes the stay much more interesting. located on the main street. a lot of pluses and very helpful staff
